Serious Question: Do You Think This Forum Is Being Watched By Our Government?

Funny some of you have mentioned phones. I do not have a personal cell phone but growing up our landline phone would click have a faint clicking sound in the background (you could barely notice it) and my Father (who was involved with military intelligence and other intelligence agencies) told me one day that our phone line was tapped and that I should be careful what I say to people.

think and say what you want, I'm not going to be arrested.

So says you, mundane.

Government will arrest you for nothing, if it wants to.

If it feels like the negative press is a problem, it will gin up some fake charges.

Or declare you an enemy combatant and just make you an unperson.

What makes you think "they" need a reason, or even care about reasons.

Well, hopefully the Feds don't move in on me before I can dispose of this dead hooker in my trunk. I suppose I could always eat her remains if it comes down to it.

yeah, but from his posting, they might not even need to fake evidence to arrest waltm. he is always arguing for murder and violence.

That made me laugh.

On the phone with Mrs. AF right now, "How's the opium crop coming?"

Point.

Someone needs an exact quote from The Matrix

The people that watch us (for the most part) are the very people we are trying to save. But as long as they are controlled and dependant on the system, they are dangerous to us, and that makes them the enemy.

(paraphrased)

Of course. We had a user some time ago named "Craig Thompson" who posted some kind of inflammatory stuff against some political figure while he himself was running for president. He posted his story about getting visited by the SS.

Links would be cool, but probably not suprising what we will find.

One thing a lot of people dont understand about Free Speech is we can pretty well say what we want until we make statements that infringe on the rights of other people. Dont look at it from Legal Eagle standpoint, look at it from Founding Fathers standpoint.

I say I want smaller government that is balanced with its people, everyone leaves me alone, well not only do they leave me alone but they ignore me, but I turn around and say something like "Im gonna blow up your house because I dont like the color of your mailbox" or something else like "I am going to kill you because I dont approve of the ethnic background of the person you are dating" and I am making a threat against you, and that threat infringes on your natural human rights, whether they are listed in the Bill of Rights or not is not the point. The point is they are natural human rights, inherit to every person because they are here, not because they are given to us by some "higher" authority *cough* government.

The other side of the coin is that we can sometimes be quite naive. I know I want to believe that people would be responsible with unlimited freedom, but it isnt the real world. This perpetuated the need for government to begin with. There will always be some asshole that fucks it up for everyone by doing something that fucks over other people. The problem is now that the crooks dont give up so easily, and via their persistence have gotten jobs in office, politics, and law enforcement, and worst of all, banking.

The government has grown into its own cancer and will consume its host until it dies. The cancer has to be cut out. We cant have an advanced civilization with either end of the extreme of the spectrum.

If we can manage to get that idea thru to the people that watch us, we are better off. We arent trying to start wars, we are trying to prevent them. This is a public forum, so fuck em, let em watch, hopefully they learn something.

HA.

Let 'em listen. I have it on good authority that several of the agents who monitor these boards have converted over to "our side" and are now covertly leaking critical information to the Ron Paul Freedom movement.

;)

This forum is 100% on the radar given its association with "Ron Paul" and "Liberty."

So what. I hope that our fellow citizens working for these agencies whether out of Virginia/DC or the SPLC down in Alabama "monitoring extremism" about discussions of moneybombs and health freedom actually learn something.

In order to learn, one must want to. I doubt anyone at SPLC is so inclined.

I've had some serious doubts lately as to our safety as individuals when we post the kind of anti-government ideas that we post on this site.

If the Feds wanted to go after anyone, for taxes, guns, anything...one of the prime places would be forums like these where there are so many people talking about freedom.

Am I being too paranoid? Or is this something we should seriously think about?

We already live in a quite Orwellian Survelance State. If you avoid posting personal info, you should be okay.

no, you're not ok, if you're posting from your house without any sort of protection mechanism, your posts could be tracked back to your house if the government wanted to.

Yeah, but the regime has already deemed the webbernets a "public place" (last I heard), and can thus be monitored whenever TPTB want it to be so. So, they're going to find a way to get you if they REALLY want you.

It's good to be careful what info you put on the interwebz, but being paranoid isn't helpful.

knowing that your posts can be tracked back to your house by the government isn't being paranoid; it's just being aware of reality.

Do you have your connection protected? Firewall, etc? That should minimize the risk (though it never really goes away entirely)

when you post something, your ISP sends that information to ronpaulforums.com and stores your IP, a number assigned to you by your ISP. that number can be associated to your house, and there is a log which stores the time at which an IP sent information, so the government could look at the posting time on a thread page and use that information. they would probably start by looking for the incoming information to RonPaulForums.com, which is of course also stored by the ISPs.

the way to hide yourself is to have the information sent to some computer in saudi arabia so that they can send your information to rpf. see http://www.hidemyass.com/.
