Sending Super Brochures to Huckabee Counties in Iowa

Iowa is our #1 priority and the SuperVoter Bomb can hit up every Supervoter in Iowa if it reaches its goal.

Is this true?
I was under the impression there were more than 100,000 super voters in IA.

Can anybody tell me how many super voters there are total?

I love the idea of targeting the counties most likely to be won by RP with the brochures ... and the Huckabee counties are an excellent place to start but I think we should have a strategic meeting with Ronpaulproducts and the revpac to decide which counties are better getting the superbomb package and which counties would be just as well served by the brochure alone.

We should also approach NH with the same organization when the time comes to focus there.

Anyone agree with me on this?

In the 2008 GOP primaries 119,188 votes were cast. A good number of these votes likely aren't from super voters, so if there are more than 100,000 then it is only by a few hundred more. By selecting precincts your just preventing people from receiving the DVD and the letter in Iowa.

Good intel, thankye.

I still think it would be awesome to get a list of everywhere they plan to canvas with the superbomb and then those who would like to could systematically knock out all the counties/precincts that are left.

I'm wondering if the supervoterbomb will start losing steam when it gets to mailing NH though ... it does sort of cause pause knowing that we could mail 3x the brochures if we didn't include the dvd.

I wouldn't want to bring to much light to this, but I wonder if there is a way to target democrats that are definitely going to caucus? Of course we don't want the media blowing this up, but getting the anti war folks and disenfranchised democrats out to vote for Ron would be great especially when two camps try to tag team us because they know Ron is going to do so well with the republicans on his own.

Sending a 4x6 "blue republican" anti-war postcard would do the trick there. They'd be cheaper to print and probably cheaper to mail also.

That hasn't been confirmed by Rev Pac or Ron Paul Products so stop lying and making stuff up. Thank you.

I'm lying and making stuff up? I'm not trying to piss people off, I'm just trying to sway people to better utilize their money. We all support Ron Paul and we all want him to win. Please tell me what is incorrect about my statement.

Don't pass something off as fact, when neither Rev Pac nor RP Products have confirmed that these projects somehow compete for the same voting pool. Right now that is pure speculation.

The direction this thread was going was really irking me so I went back to AdamT's thread he started about the Super Voter bomb project where he addressed these issues.

AdamT - Right now their automated mailings are going to FL only. If they expand to other states it will be to regular Republican voters only. There are a lot more of them though, something like 700,000 regular republican voters and 100,000 supervoters in IA - for around 800,000 total. Not sure about NH's regular's yet. And then it depends if you include independents as well....these are all different lists you can buy.

AdamT - No, I'm working with them to ensure we're not wasting resources by double mailing. Basically there are 2 kinds of lists, Supervoters & all Republican voters (and indies too). They are separated, and we're just going to be working with the SV lists.

There, case closed. Any bidders for the next precinct?

The way I think about this is, if anyone cares, that one precinct within the same county gets the brochure, and then the next door precinct gets the SuperVoter brochure, DVD and letter. The other couple precincts get just the brochure and a couple other get the SuperVoter material. Ok, bear with me...

Have you seen the number of counties in Iowa? Holy smokes, it looks like you can go across the state and be in and out of like 15 different counties! They are small! Then the precincts are even smaller depending on number of people in that county. People work together from different precincts and someone at work says something like, "Did you get a Ron Paul DVD in the mail?" The other person says, "No, just a brochure". The other person says, "Well almost everyone on my block got one. Several of my neighbors got one." "Well, what's it like?" "It's pretty good, I'll lend it to you if you want to see it". "Yeah, I'd like to see it."

Ok, so I'm using my imagination, but I figure the word gets out and people are viewing it TOGETHER, or lending it to one another.

OR, even if they're not going to vote for RP, they might think, "Oh, Joe would love to see this, he's been talking about Ron Paul lately. I'll take it to him or to work with me tomarrow".

Who knows?! The scenarios are unlimited!

How about this scenario... 16 year old Kid comes home from school and sees the DVD on the kitchen table with the mail, unopened. He's pretty internet savy and has seen people all over the net talking about RP. He opens the DVD, pops it in to the player. Mom or Dad happen by his room or the den and watch a minute or two and says, "Where'd you get that?" Then sit down and watch the rest of it with the kid.

Or the kid takes the DVD and hunts down Mom or Dad and says, "You have got to watch this! I've seen his youtubes all over the place and he makes sense!"

Anyway, I think both projects are great. I've donated to both.
