Of those potential presidential candidates who weren't in Congress during the bailout wave, the only one whom I think there might be some likelihood that he would have opposed all of them is Bobby Jindal.

I'm going to nitpick a bit... aren't bailouts and stimulus different things, and if so, aren't you equating them?

Yeah, I agree they're different, and I was equating them, mainly because that rlc blog equates them.

However, that rebate act also included provisions to stop the decline of house prices in the subprime mortgage crisis, as a kind of bailout for home owners and financial institutions. That might have been the logic for including that act.
