I called Senator Bond's office in Columbia, MO today.

Aide: typical greeting

Me: I was curious as to why Bond has not co-sponsored S 604 yet

Aide: What?

Me: Senate bill S 604 that would audit the Federal Reserve...

Aide: We haven't heard of that bill

Me: I find it hard to believe that you haven't heard of the audit the fed legislation. every single republican in the house of represenatative and over 100 democrats have co-sponsored HR 1207 and 20 senaters have co-sponsored S 604.

Aide: [changing story] Bond does not have an official position on that legislation.

Me: I don't have much hope for McCaskill, but Bond being a republican and all should probably co-sponsor S 604. It would look bad if he didn't

Aide: [Takes my name] I will pass this on to senator bond, and tell him you support S 604

Me: Thank you. Do you happen to know his stance on Cap and Trade and Healthcare?

Aide: He opposes both of them

Me: Good, thank you for your time

I bet they give everyone the "We haven't heard of it" line.

Someone else from Missouri call Bond's office and see if you get the same result.

Which number did you call? I'll see if I can't get the same aide to see what she says..

Props for calling him. I can't believe these people are our senators and don't now about these extremely important pieces of legislation. What do they know about?!

Well, if Bond was checking his mail properly he would have received a letter from me asking him to support S 604. I guess I'll have to send ANOTHER letter......

I don't think Bond is planning on running for re-election. He can basically do whatever he wants sadly. He has no fear of not getting our voted next election. It's sad that we even voted him in in the first place.

yeah I don't think he is trying to seek re-election. We should encourage Jim Guest to run for his spot. His term limit is almost up. I don't know his stances on foreign policy but he was instrumntal in the anti-real ID act amongst other things. he would be a hell of a lot better than Bond anyway.

I got an e-mail from some neo-con group (never signed up for it so I dont know how I got on it) they were pushing Roy Blunt as a replacement :gag:
