From the April 10, 2015 edition of "The Glenn Beck Radio Program": Glenn Beck puts Republican presidential candidate Rand Paul on the hot seat, asking several tough questions- including how we would handle being blamed for terrorist attacks after cutting NSA domestic spying capabilities.

Mr. Verizon. I loved that part.

Overall good interview

its too bad Glenn asked such a big question (will you abolish the DoE?) when he only had 20 seconds til break. I wanted to hear more about that. I have a feeling the media and the dems are going to have a field day with Rand wanting to abolish that.

EDIT - But I absolutely loved how he answered 'yes' with zero hesitation. so refreshing

Yeah, that was a disappointment. Rand was just getting warmed up on the topic when he cut him off. Still, it was a strong, clear answer, as you say.

Great interview. I really wish I could have heard more about shutting down the Dept. of Ed. Loved his solid answer of "yes" though and no political speak before it or qualifying it. He just said, "yes."

yeah, I have to wonder about that point. It's not the first time he's made it. But what's going to happen is that someone is going to equate that with corporate personhood and apply it to the Citizen's United case.

He may be purposely baiting them on that topic, I don't know, but I'm sure I'm not the only who is seeing the play here.

Good interview. The DOE has only been around since the Carter years, I think 1979. It shouldn't be that hard to dismantle.

He's talked about it this week several times about education being controlled by the locals and not nationally...was a good bit of it in his announcement speech too.

Why is Glen's face so red? Rand is so smooth on the mic, America will love him. And that he even knows about Grover Cleveland, cool points +22

Okay, my head is officially exploding, with Beck, Levin, Limbaugh, Hannity, and from the other pole, Matthews all saying positive things about Rand.

I strongly disagree with rand on this notion of defending embassies abroad.

If you're not welcome; provided security by the host, the noble thing to do is LEAVE.

Embassies are not bases or imperial outposts.

otherwise great interview.

Thank you. This is not mentioned enough.

Glenn beck is such an asswipe. Good interview on rands part, but Glenn loves to hear himself talk, and the look on his face when he said "libertarians like myself" is one of deceit. Then when his assistant spoke into the mike, Glenn couldn't give him 2 seconds of uninterrupted time to finish his short thought. Glenn interrupted him at least 3 times in the one sentence he had to tell Rand.

I can't stand people like that.

I kicked Beck to the curb several months ago. After several good faith second chances. I will never take anything he says seriously ever again. Ever. Under any circumstances.

As someone who listens to his show you're incorrect. He lets his co-hosts speak freely frequently. If you're referring to him jumping in when pat was asking if Rand would "ever" put boots on the ground in the middle east, I think Glenn was actually protecting Rand there. Having Rand commit one way or the other on something like that with such a broad hypothetical is just lose/lose for him.

That's just the way I saw it though
