I get the feeling that a lot of the people involved in these stunts are very young and very angry. That's a good thing. It's that sort of passion that drives this campaign, causes people to go out and spread the message. We need that fire and enthusiasm.
However, understand that there are people out there who do not understand Ron Paul's positions, are ignorant of world history, know nothing of monetary policy or free market economics, and who have not been educated on what liberty is and why it is important. Many of these people can be educated, however. But when they see something like this - Ron Paul supporters chasing after a media figure and throwing snowballs then all bets are off. In fact, many people who even get a whiff of the mob mentality will close off their minds to the message and write us off as radical, anarchist, and unrealistic.
This wouldn't be so bad if it weren't for the fact that the undeducated and uinitiated happen to make up the vast majority of Americans. And the media is against us. Mainstream politicians are against us. These are the people who influence the silent majority more than anybody (at least for now), and we are giving them piles of ammunition they can use to splinter and destroy our campaign and, ultimately, the pro-liberty movement itself.
Rome wasn't built in a day, people, but it can be burned to the ground that quickly.
