The government only recently at the state level started with marriage licenses and it was an encroachment on individual liberty that does not need such things, and religion. This is just full blow, the federal government now violating state rights, who were violating individual and religious rights. It's just an endless downward spiral.

Sorry but that is so ridiculously not true. Government has been in the marriage business for millennia. Anyone who says differently is woefully ignorant of history. But I agree government has no place in a religious ceremony, but to claim it is a recent phenomena is incorrect.
