Dear Liberty Forest Members,

My name is Eftychis Gregos and I am a staffer with the Schiff Campaign for US Senate in Connecticut.

I will be keeping up with the forum to answer questions and coordinate with supporters.

A priority on our end is to confirm the date of the DoddProof Money Bomb (I know there are calls to move it back to the 30th) and once we can confirm one way or another the campaign will work to promote the Money Bomb through our database.

Please post under this thread if there are any questions and I will do my best to answer them in a reasonable time frame.

We are just getting started and with your support Peter will be the next Senator from Connecticut.

Thank you and keep up the great work.

Why couldn't Ron Paul's campaign do something like this in 2007?

PS Welcome, and good work.

Hey Eftychis,

I think the DoddProof moneybomb will most likely be pushed to January 17th or so. This is because most efforts are currently focused on promoting the fundraiser for Rand Paul on December 16th, and it would be a good idea to have a full month after this. Also, Peter will hopefully be campaigning hard in the coming months, and the evidence of this will serve to dismiss the worries about whether he is a serious candidate and motivate people to donate to him. Thanks for checking in and I look forward to hearing more from the campaign!

Eftychis, glad to have you on the forum! Some feedback on the website - I think the upcoming events section is excellent and necessary. It shows that Peter is really connecting directly with the voters of CT. Seeing activity shows us that Peter is a serious candidate, and encourages further donations.

Thanks for doing this, Eftychis.

Do you know when the volunteer database will be up and running? Also, what types of security features will it have to prevent abuse of the system?

Thanks for the input and warm welcome. Is that a confirmation that the next Money Bomb will be on January 17th?

Agreed. Peter is going to be extraordinarily busy getting out onto the campaign trail after Thanksgiving. I can assure you all that he is a full time candidate and is in it to win it. If he weren't, the donations would have been sent back, campaign staff would not be in the hiring process, and we wouldn't be building an incredible and unprecedented organization with CT experience.

Krippy,

Thank you for the question and I am thrilled that you are excited to get involved.

Yes, the volunteer system will be very comprehensive (phone banking, mailings, monitoring, etc...) and it is strictly controlled to prevent abuse. The volunteers are very limited in the information they will be able to see on the user end of the system, this will prevent other campaigns and free agents from exploiting our system.

I am the creator of the moneybomb and do plan to update the site and banners to January 17th, unless the date is bad for the campaign for some reason. Hopefully I can get them all fixed by Tuesday night.

By the way, I am wondering if there will be more traditional ways of raising money because these moneybombs can't fund the entire campaign. The first moneybomb for Peter was pretty good, but there were some smaller ones after that. They were smaller partially because people directed a lot of attention towards the Rand Paul campaign. Hopefully this one is big, but it is usually the same people (online grassroots supporters) donating with moneybombs.

Oh, I am also wondering when we will be able to get yard signs, etc.

Thanks,
Jeremy

Hey Eftychis,

I'm from Europe so I can't donate nor do I have any spare money to be able to do so but I'm willing to make calls. Can I help as well?

Eftychis,
A suggestion on the phone banking system - it would be ideal if we could call into a central phone banking # that would auto-dial constituents and then give us a screen pop when one answers. This is what professional telemarketers use. When I did phone-banking for Ron Paul, I found that less than 1/5 of the people I called actually answered the phone.

Maybe it's too complicated or too late in the game to implement something like that.

Eftychis, many thanks to both the campaign and yourself for organizing a full-time middleman between the grassroots and the official campaign! This will certainly prove to be a very ideal and practical asset for both parties.

The only question I have is regarding the location of the campaign. Has a campaign headquarters location been determined? If local volunteers feel like they could have something particularly useful to offer the official campaign (aside from the typical phone-calls and door-to-doors), is there a place we could pay a visit to? If there hasn't been one established yet, would the new EuroPac offices in Westport be an acceptable location to visit?

Thanks again for making the initial connection with us, Eftychis.

Absolutely you can help. The volunteer system will allow you to do lots of things. One of the best ways that you can help (especially if you are in a different timezone) is keep an eye on the blogs and promote Peter online.

Thanks!

That is a great suggestion. Will take it into consideration.

Yes, we are opening a campaign headquarters. There will be an announcement on the website regarding this within the next two weeks. We will of course also have local/ regional staff and satellite offices.

List of blogs to monitor

Everyone,

Your input so far has been great. I will try and keep up to date with your questions and post as specific a response as I can on an individual basis.

Something that would be a huge help to the campaign would be if anyone could write up a list of the Campaign for Liberty/ Ron Paul/ smaller government affiliated blogs, forums, and communities that you think the Schiff campaign should reach out to.

Best,

Eftychis

www.DailyPaul.com is a big one

I'd also like to know when I can get my Schiff for Senate shirt, bumper sticker and yard sign here in CT.
