Sarah Palin: "They can spend it better than the government".

This is another example of Ron Paul supporters (ill-informed). Gibson misquoted her (talking about yellow journalism). She said "we have to keep praying that there is a plan, and it is God’s plan." She has never said the Iraq war was a God's plan.

Did she condemn the Iraq war or the Afghanistan war, or did she condemn Guantanamo Bay? Did she condemn the fact that USA has military bases in over 130 countries? Did she condemn threatening language used against Russia and Iran? Is she a non-interventionist?

These aren't minor issues that can be glossed over. Anyway, I doubt there is anything that could convince me that Sarah Palin was good enough reason to vote for McCain, I doubt McCain will ever listen to any advice Palin has to offer, they only met each other (under any circumstances) once before in their lifetimes, unless you can correct me on that. The fact is, Palin is a gimmick to gain swing voters. And certainly won't be getting anything swinging from the libertarian umbrella.

tony,

What is her thoughts on the Federal Reserve, the empire, and the deficit spending? What agencies does she want to cut out of the government? Does she want to get rid of DHS? What about combining FBI, CIA, and NSA since they are redundent to each other? How much of our budget does she want to cut? 25%, 50%? Which bases around the world does she want to shut down first?

I don't know yet but we need to ask her or ask Ron Paul to educate her.

I can't believe there are people on Ron Paul forums advocating voting for John McCain. Is there anywhere I can go where there are some like minded people who actually believe in voting for libertarian-minded principles?

What a joke!

She said the Iraq war was God's plan, that crazy enough for ya?

Let's be fair here. She never proclaimed the war to be God's will she simply prayed that the war was God's will. There is a big difference between proclaiming something to be God's will and hoping, for our sake, that it is. I think most Americans hope and pray that our leaders are doing God's will but most probably would not outright proclaim that they are. Of course there is a minority that already seem to think they know what God's will is and scream "God damn America" from the pulpit.

Good chance McCain might die while in office, I really wish he would have made a better choice for VP instead of trying for the Clinton womens vote..

That nude picture isn't her. That same picture went around the net a few years back titled Julia Louise Dreyfus nude.

Okay, so we know that the Alaskan bulldog with lipstick can read. Maybe she should have been Bush's VP because they are equally daft. A vote for McCain is a vote for World War III. I would never put that weight on my back.
In all fairness a vote for Obama is also a vote for WW3.

The Gibson interview was craftily edited. This doesn't mean I'm completely for her, but I'm not totally against her, either. I don't know what effect she'll have as VPOTUS but I like her an awful lot better than Biden, that's for sure.

You are probably right.... lots of sites are saying it's Palin...oh well, that's the internet for ya' ;)

Read between the lines. She had a pow-wow with AIPAC with Lieberman in tow, she has an Israeli flag in her office, preached about unwavering protection of Israel during her RNC speech, etc. She's a Christian zionist. Playing with the semantics of her exact statement mean very little when the actions tell the story of what she meant.

I have no problem with Christian Zionists as long as they don't use tax dollars to help their cause. Actually I could probably be considered a Christian Zionist by some definitions.

If you believe in Biblical history, you would understand that the Israelis are paying for not listening to God after they were brought out of Egypt. They didn't follow God's command, and they still have to deal with it to this day. We live across an ocean. It's really not our problem anymore. We hopped on boats and got the hell out of there. Why are we still tinkering in their madness?

I agree 100%. If Israel is the Jew's promise land then they have God on their side, at least they will eventually, and they don't need our help. I think too many Jews and Christians have too little faith so they have to use force to make Biblical prophecies come true. If it's God's will it will happen regardless of what they do.

Delusions of Grandeur for people who already live in a fantasy world.

She says "They can spend it better than the government," but she still doesn't want to get rid of the IRS, stop the FED, or take any libertarian actions whatsoever. Sure, she might sound good, but once in office she'll probably follow in McCain's footsteps and not strive for real change. Pandering to voters and actually trying to influence the GOP and, ultimately, the entire country are two different things entirely.
