This is a second time in recent history the media is killing a good candidate.
Sarah, you've been there. You know what it's like to be blindly unfairly media-mob attacked.
After Iowa, whether Ron Paul wins or loses, you will not have a greater chance to live your trace in history. Speak now or forever hold your peace.
Stand up for Ron Paul defense!
I seriously doubt she will do this for what could be several reasons, not the least of which is that I suspect she is a training-wheels neocon. This seems to be particularly so in the foreign policy area where she has appeared to my eyes to have a great and throbbing neoconesque-woodie for the massacring of all those icky people whom she says wants to destroy the USA, one pipe bomb at a time. Definite pro-security state leanings there. I have heard far too many comments directly from her pie-hole that paint her intellect as that of a TV caricature 1950s narrow-band American housewife in its simplistic and plainly wrong world view. Perhaps it is partly her expressive style which, unlike many, I find campy and unsophisticated in her apparent over-reaching and contrived efforts to appear "down home".
She is not as bad as Bachmann in those terms, but she is in the same stylistic vein and much of what comes out of her mouth comes off as goofy to the point of non-credibility, similarly to the semi-crazed meme-loops into which Bachmann gets stuck, repeating her own sound bites like "moms... moms... moms..." to the point I thought the woman was in serious need of a heavy dose of thorazine or a slap upside her head to get her record unstuck. When Palin wanders into the "let's bomb them all into extinction" section of the petri dish, her overly worked and artificial timbre takes on that of a manic lunatic in similar need of medication and a quiet, locked room on the coast Maine.
The expressive-style explanation, however, can go only so far. Beyond that content takes over in painting the rest of the picture of one's character and in Palin's case what remains is nothing with which to be happy. Hence the opinion that she is just a neocon parrot because I am not at all convinced she understands the issues nearly enough to have formed her own opinions. This could be for a number of possible reasons that include but are not limited to ignorance, lack of intellectual horsepower to dope it out on her own, bad advisors "educating" her, and the belief that she must appeal to what she feels "the country" wants to hear, which reveals her as nothing but another low rent political whore with endlessly pliable morals bending with with the breezes of momentary expedience. There are pleny of other candidate explanations, none of which serve to inspire confidence or trust.
Given all of this, I wonder whether having the endorsement of such a weak or otherwise ignorant character would actually serve as a credit or a debit for the Ron Paul campaign. I cannot really say, but Pain's opinions on anything mean next to nothing positive for me.
I think he needs the endorsements of people whose opinions actually matter for something, and those need to me loud and clear about it.
FWIW.
