Sarah Palin Dishes Out Endorsement to Katrina Pierson
http://usconservatives.about.com/b/...dishes-out-endorsement-to-katrina-pierson.htm

Sarah Palin does not hand out a lot of endorsements, but when she does she is usually quite successful. In 2012, underdog Ted Cruz credited Palin's support with his surge in the Texas Primary while her endorsement of Deb Fischer (everyone else was like, who?) sent her from third to first in that Senate primary, and then on to a healthy route of the Democrat in the general election. Her picks do not always win the primaries, and Sarah Steelman lost a close race in the US Senate primary in Missouri to Todd Akin... don't we wish we had that one back again? But her picks usually make it close, and now I'd guess Pete Sessions is slightly (or a lot) more worried than he was yesterday.
We recently interviewed Katrina Pierson, and you can read that here. Pierson is challenging a powerful incumbent in the GOP primary, and here is what Sarah Palin had to say about her candidacy:

"A feisty fighter for freedom, Katrina is taking on a powerful incumbent who has so lost touch with the people of his district that he's not even bothering to spend much time in Texas anymore. It's not only his district he's lost touch with, but also the issues important to the voters there. He used his powerful position to oppose the movement to defund Obamacare, has voted to raise the debt ceiling, and has been an advocate for the NSA intrusion into our freedoms. When asked about Katrina's primary challenge, he said, "these things happen." Yes, they do. We all know what happens when we come together to support a good candidate like Katrina - the permanent political class loses and We the People win! We win by electing a fighter we can depend on like Katrina Pierson."

From Katrina's website:
We must stand with Israel.
For over half a century, Israel has remained one of America’s strongest and closest allies. Israel is an open, pluralistic, constitutional republic in a region dominated by kings and dictators. Israel has been an ally in a region hostile to our country and the ideals we stand for. The United States and Israel are joined together by common values, including but not limited to, a shared commitment to freedom and individual rights. A free and prosperous Israel is a benefit to our nation and to the world.

Not for nothing, it looks like Ted Cruz endorsed her too.

A "Stand with Israel" paragraph on your issues page is basically obligatory to get elected in the US, especially in a red district.

There hasn't been an official endorsement. Ted has said nice things about her and his father, Raphael, has endorsed her.

I like her. Rafael Cruz endorsed her, while Ted praised her.

Sessions has got to go.

I have no problem standing with Israel. We need to become more independent of each other though.

I don't think Ron Paul did that. How many times was he elected?

P.S.
Fuck Sarah Palin, she never endorsed Ron Paul.

If we can oust Sessions and Simpson, congress will be that much better. Pierson and Smith are great candidates to boot.

If you're going to have that theory with everyone who didn't endorse Ron Paul, then it's going to be a bumpy road down the line.

Face it, not that many people endorsed him.

Palin is an ally on most issues.

Ron Paul may have been elected multiple times, but as we're reminded in the Rand Paul subforum and every subforum here, not everyone is Ron Paul. Looking for 535 of him to hold offices in Congress will not be successful.

Neither did she endorse anyone else.

Kat Pierson is a conservative candidate with libertarian views on civil liberties issues and would definitely be in the top 15 in the House as far as votes go. She's also great for image reasons - young, female and African-American, the exact opposite of what the liberal media presents the Tea Party to be.

You left out the second paragraph, which echoes Ron Paul. She may be like Ron Paul, she may turn out more teo-conservative like Ted Cruz. Much better than the status quo.

Middle East & Israel
America must stand with Israel.

A free Israel is the best judge of its own security needs and should be able to respond as it sees fit to threats and unprovoked aggression without pressure from any other nation. Just as the United States takes actions necessary to protect our homeland, Israel should be able to take steps it deems necessary to protect its sovereignty and existence and to respond to attacks by going after the terrorists where they hide – as the United States has done.

She has an interesting background. She understands the folly and destruction caused by the welfare state. This is from a Glenn Beck interview:

...
As Pierson explained, it is the depth of her life experience that has made her the conservative she is today.

“People always ask me how I became so conservative considering where I came from. And the simple answer is I just lived it. My mother was 14 years old when she was pregnant with me, and my grandfather said abortion was not an option,” Pierson explained. “But she had a biracial baby, and they didn’t know what to do. Gladney said they didn’t specialize in biracial babies, so my mother was sent to Kansas to give birth to me and give me up for adoption. She changed her mind, and brought me back to Texas. So the joke on the campaign is: I’m a native Texan born in Kansas.”

“But I also grew up with a teenage mom who became very much codependent on government and then became very much codependent on drugs, and that’s what happens with these liberal policies. It traps you in an environment that you can’t get out of,” she continued. “And then it finally breaks your spirit. And the rest of us caught up in that environment have to fight tooth and nail to get out of it. And I survived that, so I feel it’s my duty to fight back against that because it’s becoming the standard. This Administration feels like a redistribution of wealth should become the standard in this society and I cannot allow that.”

Better to elect those who get foreign policy right before they get elected.

Better to elect someone who agrees with us on 90%+ of issues than allow a RINO like Pete Sessions to win who only agrees with us on 40-50% at best.

That tired argument again. All issues are not equal...I would offer that a disagreement on foreign policy alone is worth much more than 10%. In fact, that's one of the issues I look at first when judging a candidate. If they sound like a neocon or teocon, I move on.
