Santorum's Surge over according to CNN - AC 360

Most importantly, Paul has still not dropped. This could be the best possible time for another dip from the flavor of the week, as each time Paul has gained permanently from those pools. Romney has lifted his own expectations now, realizing he could possibly win... if Paul overtakes him, there will be no "throwing out" as so much of the media appears ready to do... they made Iowa big, and they are going to have to choke on these results.

Could this be any more blatant?

That is true. We have our OWN pattern. The media speaks of Ron as if he was a spike up and down, and he never was. He'd dip slightly as the newest flavor of the week came on, then as they dropped and people 'looked around' again, would get more. My concern is that some of that second choice support isn't as firm as Ron's usual support. It comes down to GOTV.

I think that after the MSM pumped up Santorum, people went to check him out and when they heard what he had to say were probably like "WTF?" I predict Dr. Paul will do very well tonight.

Ron didn't spike up and down. There are a zillion charts of candidate progress in polls that show it. His rise was steady.

I know this as do most here. What I was referencing was what the MSM wants the rest to believe. The MSM creates perceptions and then if they can realities.
