Medvedev says wants to see Obama re-elected

Russian President Dmitry Medvedev said on Monday he wanted his US counterpart Barack Obama to win re-election next year, fearing that the two men's efforts to improve ties may lose steam under a new administration.
"I can tell you directly -- I would like Barack Obama to be re-elected president of the United States maybe more than someone else," Medvedev said in an interview with the Financial Times whose full transcript was released by the Kremlin early Monday.
"If another person becomes US president then he may have another course," he said.
"We understand that there are representatives of a rather conservative wing there who are trying to achieve their political goals at the expense of inflaming passions in relation to Russia, among other things.

Obama is a poor negotiator. Russia loves that.
President Obama isn’t much of a negotiator when it comes to dealing with Vladimir Putin, as Obama cancelled the agreements with the Czech Republic and Poland to provide them with missile protection in order to placate the Russians and got in return a new Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty (START), in which the Russians got everything they wanted.

It turns out that Barack Hussein Obama isn’t much of a negotiator when it comes to dealing with such heavyweights as Vladimir Putin, who took the American president to the cleaners. He cancelled the agreements with the Czech Republic and Poland to provide them with missile protection in order to placate the Russians. And what did the Russians give him in return? He got a new Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty (START), in which the Russians got everything they wanted and Obama came home with nothing of value. But since Obama is a man of the left, he no doubt has been for nuclear disarmament since college days, even though we now live in a world where the mullahs in Iran are working overtime to acquire a nuclear capability.
