This will not end well:

Are Americans Being Brainwashed By Their Mainstream Media?

Their broadcast license might get revoked on some type of "loophole".

Edit:

Great videos. Unfortunately though most mundanes have their minds clouded over with the chant of USA-USA-USA-USA. They believe their country can do no wrong. Not to mention that we got to kill all those brown people over there before they kill us with their nuclear tipped ICBM's.

Please, guys, RT is run by the Kremlin. It is their version of state propaganda. Why in the hell do we listen to them?

Is what they are saying the truth? Does it matter who is funding it if it is true.
Do you know of a US funded source giving the same information?

Sadly,, your statement is why many will ignore this. And only few will hear it.

RT isn't broadcast enough places to even make a dent anyway.

Likely the reason it is not being actively suppressed.

I listen to them precisely *because* it is "their version" of things. Why in the world should we limit ourselves to only US-government approved propaganda?

Triangulate "their" version with "our" MSM version (FOX, MSNBC, etc.), throw in some Al Jazeera, and *maybe* you can end up somewhere in the general vicinity of the truth.

Furthermore, just because it's propaganda doesn't mean (some or a lot of) it isn't true. In fact, truth is often the best propaganda. (RT America even put out a promotional ad making this very point - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gIpcz97j3E4)

For another thing, it's *very* refereshing to see some actual skepticism in the professional media when it comes to US foreign & domestic policy - regardless of what the underlying motives for that skepticism are or may be.

So, three cheers for RT America! (And for Al Jazeera!)

(And weren't the Chinese supposed to be launching an English-language news service? Does anyone know anything about that? I'd like to add that to my list of "triangulation points.")

In tampa when we had our press release after they butchered maine, the only television network that showed up was RT. We talked to someone from MSNBC and they said they were "specifically told not to cover the event."

The media is a tool of the establishment goons.

And russia has an interest in the grand chess board not happening...they don't want to be surrounded on all sides by a world empire. They don't want the goons taking over the world. Right now they're telling the truth.

The #1 comment on there is especially fantastic

Quite.

Israel is good, TSA is good, war is needed, govt saves you from terrorism, we need more cameras, its unpatriotic to ask questions, fluoride is good to drink,GMO food is fine, 911 was Muslims, wtc7 does not exist, vaccines are safe, anybody who questions 911 is a kook, the air was safe at ground zero, the seafood in the gulf is safe after BP, the (un)patriot act is needed, gotta get those WMDs,Obama is doing a great job, after all he got Osama (no proof given) and showed his long form etc etc lol

Interesting title for this thread: "Russia Today TV is pushing the envelope. How long will the establishment tolerate this?" But perhaps it's the mainstream media here in the US that keeps pushing and pushing the envelope, and doesn't care that we're no longer tolerating their propaganda. Who cares what the establishment will tolerate? They can scream and bang their head against the wall and rip the hair out of their head for all I care.

And? What about BBC? Who runs News Corp. (Fox News, etc.)? If that means something, then maybe these do too.

It just struck me that I may not have ever read a post of yours that I disagree with. (This is no exception.)

Thanks! And the same thing goes with respect to my reading of your posts, as well.

(I'm not just saying that to be nice or return the compliment, either - I really don't remember ever thinking "Mini-Me is wrong about that".)

Another good one from RT about our MSM.

From the state run media who wants to ban all of YouTube because they happen to host one anti-Muslim video. Sounds like a group that wants the truth and to end censorship.

http://rt.com/politics/russia-ban-youtube-anti-muslim-392/

Russia could officially block access to YouTube while it hosts the infamous movie “Innocence of Muslims”, Communications Minister Nikolay Nikiforov has warned.

The minister tweeted that the ban could come into force as early as November 3-5 as a new law on protecting children from dangerous information comes into force.

Or...hold on, crazy idea here...we avoid government propaganda altogether? Wouldn't that just be swell.

Libertarians supporting Foreign Government-run media outlets.

The irony. They use the same logic as the Fox News sheep for why it's supposedly okay (well who cares if it's propaganda as long as it's something I agree with?).

All news is propaganda. All media outlets put a spin on it. If you want the absolute truth about something be there to witness it happen.

Maybe the ruskies will learn from the mistakes we're are making in public policy. We certainly did not learn from the Soviet Union's, it seems.

RTV -- the last media outlet in the world that tells the truth at least half the time.
