Secretary of State Marco Rubio has submitted a sweeping proposal to Congress that would eliminate or consolidate more than 300 domestic offices within the U.S. State Department.

The plan marks the most significant restructuring of the department since the Cold War and is aimed at streamlining operations, cutting bureaucracy, and sharpening the department’s focus on U.S. interests abroad.

According to senior State Department officials, the overhaul would affect roughly 3,400 staff—about 15% to 20% of the department’s domestic workforce. A total of 311 offices would be merged or eliminated, though the plan also includes the creation of approximately nine new offices to better address emerging global threats.

The reorganization includes moves such as consolidating three separate sanctions offices into one streamlined unit. “We have too many godd— offices,” one senior official said, underscoring the drive to eliminate redundancy and improve efficiency.

"Efficiency" in order to Centralize Power, perhaps?

Marco Rubio's Bizarre War on Speech

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has announced new restrictions on foreign visas, including student visas, targeting individuals who he determines to be critical of the state of Israel. They will not be allowed into the United States if they express such views, he said yesterday. He also slammed foreign governments that scrutinize the social media posts of Americans and punish them for exercising free speech rights. So…is he pro-free speech or anti free speech?

Foreign enemies have no right to come here, and we should have been excluding them all along.

Shuffling deck chairs on the Titanic, as usual.

Might as well, because diplomacy died a long time ago for THE UNITED STATES®

St. Francis taught us not to seek to be understood, but to understand. THE UNITED STATES® doesn't want to understand the world.
It wants to eat the world.

If anyone finds the actual reorganization plan, post it here.

LOL. "Consolidate" and "creation".

So Marco is going to take all of that USAID and NED money, and make sure that it is only spent on 100% loyal neocon personnel and initiatives.

The man most hated by neocons, and who pledged to fight the "swamp", is doing everything they want.
