RP's local Townhall forum worked!

I thought you could register at the polls in NH. I know that undeclared voters can pick either party's ballot.

I am Undeclared (Independent) and so I may choose either party's ballot, vote, then change back to Undeclared right after I vote.

Only first-time NH voters may register AT the polls, but they need several "proof of domicile" documents (license, utility bills, rental agreement/lease, mortgage papers, bank statements mailed to their address, etc...)

And since the relativity/number of documents changes from clerk to clerk... I'd recommend bringing all forms of "proof of domicile" with you if you plan to register at the polls. Tax returns, credit card statements, bills- anything with your name & address on it, especially if you don't have a NH driver's license.

Hope the Edwards campaigners didn't lie. Whatever the outcome may be, thanks to you for all the good work!

Did we target the old population well enough...maybe drop by some old homes and ask them if they need lift to vote for ron paul.....

You know, I don't think they did lie. All of them said, in one way or another, that they were "supposed to do this or that by such a time today, or...?" They were all from Massachusetts, all male, all between (I'd say) 17 and 20. They just drove up to my town for the day to campaign because they were being paid, and that's about it. Too bad they wouldn't be able to vote here in NH, because they all accepted Ron Paul DVD's & lit from me with a "Wow, cool- thanks!" response.

None of them looked or sounded excited, happy, enthused at all to be campaigning for Edwards. Their mantra seemed to be "Hillary cannot win!" "Obama has no policies!" So the RP lit I gave them should help. ;)

You might offer her a ride to the polls tomorrow if needed... Thanks for the nice feedback.

I hear ya, but:
While our voting ward is only a few blocks away and it's going to be 53° tomorrow... She is very independent, and would be offended if I offered to drive her. (My kids try to shovel her driveway- for free!- and she gives them cookies and tells them they don't have to do it but thanks anyway, LOL. You gotta love NH. But I will check in to nudge her to get down & vote. ;)

However I am taking along 2 neighbors who share a vehicle with their 2nd shift spouse (Manchester Airport)- because we're gonna whoop it up!

Plus, our kids get to vote here :D

I just had an idea....

*runs off to all the Bingo games in Michigan*

I think this is a terrific idea and merits its own thread. Every person over 60 has been very friendly to me and willing to give a few minutes of their time to listen about Paul.

I have found that men and women over 60 are absolutely aghast about the Real ID (which NH refused, BTW!). People my own age (30's) don't seem to understand the implications, but the older NH folks I talk with get downright cussing-angry about it! Absolutely great conversation in the line at the supermarket, because after I pay & leave, I know they are all still talking about it and sharing it with others in line... :)

That is a very important platform of Paul's to mention, IMO, to older voters. Again, this is only my experience here in NH since early this summer, but it's pretty indicative of the stereotypical NH mindset.

Sweet, with those 4 converts and you, RP is sure to get at least 5 votes.

Mmm, ok, are you being sarcastic? I don't hang out here enough to know you, so I won't go there.

I'll say that on my block alone in Ward 9 (Manchester), there are 12 homes with very prominent RP signs, and at least 4 of them had them up well before Thanksgiving.

Neighbors who HAD McCain, Romney, Hillary signs before the latest snowstorms did NOT dig their signs out from the 4-5' high snowbanks, but the Ron Paul supporters did. :) On my street, leading to the polling place, Ron Paul signs rule!

Smoke that any way you can roll it, eh?
