As far as posters for the march go, there's already a thread somewhere in the March on Washington forum that contains a bunch. It's titled something like "DC Poster Contest", I'd post the link but I'm short on time.

Soldiers and War... how about a POSITIVE message in the poster?

PEACE - PROSPERITY - FREEDOM

Replace the soldiers with POSITIVE images of what we get if we reestablish peace.

Honey, not Vinegar. I think if Dr. Paul had focused more on the Honey that's possible if we return to a Constitutional government, he could have pulled this off.

Despite all of us being Ron Paul supporters, the march should not focus on him.

Despite all of us being Ron Paul supporters, the march should not focus on him. I believe if the focus in on the man then the message will be missed. If the media covers it they will just focus on how he is completely marginal (according to them).

The focus needs to be on the message and getting out of Iraq is part of the message. We need to send info about this march on DC to the Constitution and Libertarian parties.

I think we need to find a fundamental core message that will attract ALL Americans to this march. I like PEACE PROSPERITY FREEDOM but don't keep it contextualized to the libertarian framework. There is a great desire for true change in this country. We need to bring together all types, hippies to hardliners if we are to make a true mark on Washington.

I think we need to discover and understand the core of the message and find all others who agree but may have a different view on how to achieve it.

I may have to agree with you. People have lives that are demanding. Not all supporters of Ron Paul are truly "hardcore". Many saw him talk and thought he made sense so they supported him but haven't really looked at him more. Nor do they understand what is truly at stake here(no fault of there own).

I think the more people we bring into the fold the better. If you speak of the march don't even mention Ron Paul. Speak of freedom of peace and prosperity. Individualize your conversation. Speak to the person and don't lecture or persuade. Find what they believe in and then frame the march on DC to what they believe.

It may be better to bring up specifics that to many of us are a no-brainer such as this march being against the war, patriot act, military commissions act, IRS, FED, devaluation of the dollar( only mention this to people that actually understand this), warrant-less wiretaps, and the list goes on.

Supreme court decision due in June

The Supreme court decision on whether or not American citizens have the right to own guns will be announced in June.
Hope it is before the June 21st date.

Freedom gets my vote. Liberty is to inconceiveable for some. Freedom is something everyone can grasp.

I'm sick of this attitude... if the people who sat around and said this all the time would get off their @$$ and quit pouting all the time something WILL happen. But first, you have to get mad... you have to get up and go to the window... open it up... stick your head out and yell... I'M AS MAD AS HELL AND I'M NOT GUNNA TAKE IT ANY MORE!!

Oh I forgot... I WILL BE IN DC 6/21/08!!!!
