Answers I was looking for, please add more:

I thought he should have done something like this last night after his 3rd straight gotcha question. I want him to mock the media:

*chuckling* "I'm a studied economist, doctor, and military service member and all you can do is recite the same talking points over and over trying to bring down my support? What's my next question, about the newsletters I never wrote? Look Brett, I am the only candidate here not reciting applause lines and talking points. I'm the only one with an actual plan that balances the budget. This is why real conservative leaders like Tom Davis are supporting me, this is why the troops are supporting me, and this is why the people who get their information from the internet are supporting me. It is not opinion that we need to drastically reduce our militarism, it is a fact of solvency. It is a fact that I am trying to prevent a financial collapse. That's my agenda.....what's yours?"

I also keep dreaming that he'll eventually say, "Look I was number 2 in New Hampshire and it's been forty minutes and this is only my second question, stop wasting my time." I know that'd be a pointless thing to say though.

Yeah, it definitely needs rephrasing. I see the point you're trying to make, but "conspiracy" is not a word RP ever needs to use on television. That would be throwing chum to the sharks.
 
If he did that, he would discredit himself (even though it's true) and lose any electability as being 'fringe'.

It's also whining and nobody who whines does well.
 
I've been thinking something similar for a long time: just make a video showing all the clips of the talking heads saying he's insignificant:

"Ron Paul won't win"

"Ron Paul is a joke"

"Ron Paul cannot be elected"


Etc, etc, etc... over and over and over and over again, to some dramatic music.

Then at the end of the short video, say something like:

"America, the media has cast their vote. How will you cast yours?", then fade in the link to Ron Paul's website with perhaps another tag line like "Find out the truth at www.ronpaul2012.com".

A more ambitious commercial would be to simultaneously indict the media for incompetence by showing their failure to warn of the crash in 2008, the problems in the financial system... perhaps anything average folks would ID quickly, then point out, essentially, "Hey - are you going to let these same knuckleheads tell you who to vote for?". This concept would be more demanding to translate in a short commercial.

But, either way, most American people don't trust the media, and American's love an underdog. This is a perfect setup that ONLY Ron Paul could take advantage of.
 
I really wanted him to say forcefully "That is FALSE" when the WSJ reporter said his proposed military spending cuts would cost South Carolina jobs. At least he called him "confused" but I was looking for a little more fire.
 
In the next debates he should point out that there is a conspiracy against him, that the MSM's biggest shareholders and sponors are
in the military industrial complex, and people should find out for themselves why he has been getting almost no coverage but is second in position right now. I'm bad at phrasing this, I'm sure someone else can do it better.

He simply needs to say, "We are DANGEROUS to the status quo."

Include all those "ceilings" beginning at 5 percent going gradually to 25 percent.
 
Yeah, playing victim's always a good idea when you want to come across as a strong leader.

It would make for a long commercial, but someone could also compile all of the bad stuff the "electable" candidates of last election and this one, then show the "unelectable" stuff Paul says. Show the bad decisions and outcomes of the government despite his warnings. I really like the idea of the percentages increasing as the media says this "unelectable" stuff about him too. Ron Paul is severely dangerous to the status quo.

Make some attack ads against the MSM. When they refuse to air them, get lots of free press and free youtube play.

the new angle they are using is unbelievable. this morning i could feel the seed they were trying plant....basically "if u like some of RP's positions, u don't have to vote for him anymore because now it looks like he will get what he wants at the convention...so go back to voting for Romney and we will still audit the fed and get deep spending cuts" so god damn obvious.

Yes, he definitely needs to do something along these lines. Letting yourself get trampled by the media does not come across as presidential. He should have compiled a list of every trite question the mods put forward that night, throw it all back at them and ask, "do you really think these are the top concerns of the American people, what about X and what about Y?" He should have embarrassed them by contrasting their goofiness with his substance.

The next debate should be much more satisfying. Paul usually recognizes when he has a bad performance and steps up his game at the following debate. Plus nobody treats him worse than Fox (ABC being a close runner up).
 
MSM seems to be forgetting the people are under no obligation to follow the government. They can change it at anytime they wish, and certainly a government that is already in long rebellion against its own constitution and States and people.

Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, --That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness. Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed.
