Ron Paul's reaction to rick perry grabbing his arm photo

I think people should stop bringing it up, the campaign obviously isn't going to discuss what actually happened.

Sorry to disagree, but the campaign has made it an issue and I don't think people should stop bringing it up.

Jesse Benton said:
If you've seen the photos of Rick Perry after yesterday's debate, it sure looks like he's ready for a fight.

Well, if that's what Rick Perry wants, let's give him one.

Can I count on you for an IMMEDIATE contribution to help keep our "Trust" ad on the air through the weekend?

So the campaign thinks it is important enough to generate donations-- why shouldn't we use the pictures to increase publicity for the upcoming moneybombs? Hell, the campaign is asking for another 150k for the weekend-- I think it is a great ad that's worth airing.

See what I mean?

Increase publicity? Have you seen how many times this has been posted? It has been up on Drudge for the last day, all over the media, posted multiple times in half of the new threads created since the debate.

Do you not see an issue with flooding the board with the same topic repeatedly? Someone could have just as easily bumped one of the 20 other threads on this topic. There was a thread with that email with everyone, including me, donating due to it. Bump that one instead of this one, which made no call for donations.

Thanks for the video, Ron was joking around, it wasn't important / non-deal at it's time to move on.Go resume I think.

There's a call for a moneybomb. Do they mean Sept 17 or do they mean right now?

Thank you for showing me this again. I thought Paul was a moron who had let a bully off the hook but in fact he is being gentlemanly about it.This could still (and should imo) sink Perry.Paul only has to say: 'The pictures demonstrate Mr Perry's true character better than words ever could as far as I am concerned and that is all I have to say on the matter.'

Humour: Perry's people (via Politico) claim they were talking about Border Security! He clearly doesn't respect the personal borders of seniors.

This response could be used against him. To claim he can't remember something that happened less than 24 hours before giving this speech does not look good.

My grandparents would do this too, it was their polite way of moving the conversation on. Ron is a gentleman and if he feels it doesn't bear repeating, I am comfortable with that.

Dick Parrot looks like an asshole in those pictures... well, because that's what assholes look like. He is a Thug and comes off like a school yard bully on a regular basis. Those images were disturbing and I was hoping there was something more to it... something that would occupy the media and reflect badly on Parrot. It appears that is not the case.

But, let's think about what we are hearing from the parties involved: Ron Paul says it was a non-issue... Rand Paul says it was a non-issue... Parrot's campaign spokesperson says it was a non-issue... Rand Paul says he spoke with the RP campaign staff and he tells us they said it was a non-issue.

Then, we get an email from a campaign staffer invoking those (disturbing) images to solicit additional donations to continue running the "Trust" attack ad... OK, give all of that a few seconds to sink in... seems we are getting mixed messages here... are you feeling a bit manipulated by the not so veiled reference and intentions of that email from the campaign staffer now?

Ron's put on a little weight in the past year or so. Perry might want to watch out the next time he pulls something like that, the added heft on Ron will add more wallop to his left hook.

I agree let it drop. The sequence of pictures Drudge had of this was not complimenting to RP as it appeared he was being beat down and that is NOT the image you want of the president. Sure you might harm perry with a thug image but in the same process harm RP as a weakling. Carrying on about this will not help RP but will help Romney.

It would be nice to have Huntsmans reaction to the photos since he's in one or two of them, but they are just photos and in total represent what, 15 seconds of time? In the middle of a debate? So it's possible that they are more hyped than necessary.

Whatever the reality, just use it as an excuse to donate to the campaign. That's an appropriate response from supporters.

He would've been better off saying that it was nothing worth remembering...

Ron was just protecting the GOP and Texas family from the embarrassment.

Ron said he "doesn't remember what was said"? He might as well have just said he "fell down the stairs" or "ran in to a pole" so the cops wouldn't show up and take away the abusive bully Perry off the stage and make the GOP and Texas look bad. He also saved lil' Rand from having to avenge the attack on his father.

Here is picture I found of Rick Perry confronting yet another veteran that opposes the wars:

mods can we move all these stupid threads about this to the trash bin....kind of turning into a jerry springer event for the talk that is happening from the newbies
