I want a miniature Ron Paul blimp to float around in my front yard. Is anyone making anything like this? I don't mean like a remote controlled blimp you see at football games, but more like a blimp shaped balloon.

Like this?

Here's a price list:

Maybe we could get a quantity discount?

Some enterprising people just came up with one (and it wasn't me):

Isn't this country great!

The same blimp balloons for "at cost" will be available soon. ;)

Roughly a little less than $2 each plus shipping. No profits.

Please note that there are NO official blimp related material sites yet. Nor have any official blimp related ChipIns been created or "sanctioned" by LPA. Any other efforts are the initiative of that individual or company and not of LPA... Caveat emptor.

If anyone is interested I sent this email to:

Hi,
I saw you make blimps and saw your 7 foot blimp. I know of a lot of people that might want a 7' Ron Paul blimp like the one in this video:

Would you be interested in making these and if so what is the cost. Now there might be 100's ordered all across the country.

It is all because of what these people are doing:

Please let me know and I'll post the information on the Ron Paul forum.

Here's the reply I got back:

Thank you for your inquiry.
The blimp in the video looked like a 15' long blimp. But, that blimp takes over 1 large tank of industrial grade helium to fill. I would suggest our 10' blimp which requires 87 cubic feet of industrial grade helium (not party balloon helium) This blimp will have a net lift of 2 pounds. The cost would be with Ron Paul message on both sides is $720.00. The 7' blimp you were requesting prices on is for display purposes only. It does not have enough lift to perform in any wind conditions.

Any info on how high I can reasonably fly these balloons, if they can be flown outdoors at all, and how well they will do in the cold weather? If I can get one about 20-30 ft in the air in my backyard - it should be very visible from State Route 36 here in Long Branch NJ, which is a pretty busy road, not to mention very visible from a 711 across the street. :) Is this (relatively small) balloon readable/viewable at those heights? Obviously I know a bigger/better balloon would work better but I can afford an $8 balloon, it'd be a stretch to afford an $800 balloon.
