Congratulations to Congressman Paul on His Efforts
to Unify Republican Party to Defeat Obama

Las Vegas, Nevada - CCRP Chairman David Gibbs congratulates Congressman Ron Paul on his efforts to unify the Republican Party to defeat President Obama this fall. In a recent statement from the Congressman's campaign, he approved of the RNC focusing its efforts toward Governor Romney's election and endorsed the leadership of Chairman Reince Priebus.

We in the CCRP look forward to working with all Republicans to elect Governor Romney as the next President and to electing conservative Republicans to the Senate, House and offices all across Nevada. "We need to change the make up of Nevada's Legislature so that we can put people back to work and get our government under control," Gibbs says. "We cannot continue spending at the rate we currently are and must focus our state government on improving the economic climate for all Nevadans."

Below please find comments from National Ron Paul Campaign Chairman Jesse Benton:

Ron Paul Campaign Statement Concerning RNC Rule 11

“Chairman Priebus has always treated Dr. Paul and our team with respect, and we appreciate his leadership.” – Jesse Benton

LAKE JACKSON, Texas – Responding to complaints that the Republican National Committee has violated Rule 11 by setting up RNC Victory Operations while Dr. Paul still seeks the nomination, the Ron Paul 2012 Presidential campaign issued the following statement.

“In April, the RNC asked our campaign for our blessing to begin assembling the Victory organization Republicans will require to guarantee a win in the fall. Building such an operation is no small undertaking, and our Party needed to build in a few months what the incumbent president has been building for four years.

“The RNC offered to set up a joint fundraising committee with the Paul campaign and were very clear that if Dr. Paul became the nominee, the Victory Operation would be behind him 100 percent. They also were clear that they would hold off if our campaign objected. I gave my full consent for the RNC to move forward.

“Chairman Priebus has always treated Dr. Paul and our team with respect, and we appreciate his leadership. He has been an outstanding chairman and has our full confidence.”

Ron/the campaign did that on Monday after people tried a Rule 11 motion in OK, the campaign was saying they had approved jt accounts and the RNC had offered to do one with Ron too, but they didn't. He (or the campaign email) said they assured him if he won the victory fund would be at his disposal, and he knew a fund like that couldn't be built in a day. However, I didn't say anything in the release about calling Romney the presumed nominee as if it were all over.

It is THIS part that is the problem:

We in the CCRP look forward to working with all Republicans to elect Governor Romney as the next President

Sounds like CCRP cowered in fear after RNC & Romney moved to set up 'Team Nevada'. What was the point of this whole exercise of "condemning" Preibus, if we had to back off when threatened?

He's wasting his money. After he loses to Obama he will fade into obscurity with no legacy and no movement to carry forward his message.

And what message is that exactly? I was unaware that Mitt has an actual message.

EDIT: NVM - post below sheds some more light

Are you saying this email came from the 'shadow' party, but is being made to look like it is coming from the real party?

Yes, please clarify...I'm confused as well. One day we have the CCRP send out a brilliant PR release against Priebus, and the next day I'm seeing this coming from the CCRP and the two are at complete odds with each other...

Is the shadow party just sending out e-mails like they are official to cause confusion?

No, Gibbs is "the" CCRP chair, but he is an establishment guy. If you read the other thread about Tuesday's CCRP meeting which nearly ended in a riot, you will hear of how he handles party business. This is his way of invalidating our voted-on resolution denouncing the RNC and calling for Reince Priebus' resignation.

I posted about this in my local county republican party Farcebook group. Paraphrasing one of the replys I received was "how dare you question the integrity of Republicans by posting an article by some liberal newspaper". LOL
I then posted a followup post with another paper covering the story as well as a site that talks about the underhanded, lowdown, sorry, things the Romney campaign and the RNC is doing. I also gave thema suggestoin of actually Googling the things presented in the stories to see if they are true.
