Ron Paul to be on CNN Piers Morgan show tonight 9 p.p. ET

Geesh guys give it a minute for the youtube.

Go watch a Rick Roll or something in the meantime...

I thought the beginning was weird, but had a tear in my eye by the end. Yes the camera was BAD - would have been better phone-only - but he did great!

Thankfully the YouTube doesn't look quite as bad, but there is still no excuse for this kind of amateur crap from a major campaign.

I'm 16. I turned on CNN to watch Ron's interview, my grandma and cuz walked in the room. As I was watching, which was an amazing interview, my cusoin who lives in a democratic household said, "I'm agreeing with everything that he is talking about". I started getting all teary eyed. And thought, "It makes me so happy to see someone like ron Paul fighting for what is right". And I'm seriously thinking about my future going in a direction of fighting for those very things.

Hey, guys...I didn't hear the interview, but I was on the @ronpaul Twitter feed...

NO ONE mentioned a word about RP looking bad, but only about how "HEY, this guy is making SENSE...I could definitely vote for this guy..He's got my vote!"

VERY SUPER-POSITIVE COMMENTS for the most part. :) There's always a die-hard Obama supporter in the group, but they are VERY FEW in number.

Ron hit it nicely. like out of the park nicely. I just wish he was a tad more concise on the drug part, but if we can get more airtime like that... wow.
Bonus: Mark Sanford plugs Paul.
Double Bonus: Tomorrows guest = Penn Jillette. I wonder who he will talk about ;)

I am yet to see this interview -- it isn't online anywhere yet -- but I agree that image is very important these days. Of course, the message is #1, and Dr. Paul can't be beat there, but people too often cannot look past poor image work or poor presentation, and we have to get the campaign to fix this early on. Gotta dress presidential and gotta present presidential to be taken seriously as a contender for the big one.

Obviously, Dr. Paul has the support and the money to stay in the race til the cows come home, so the campaign needs to invest some of those $$$ we donate to buy some really good teleconferencing equipment! I think this is a must. And get a professional make up artist or a consultant for Dr. Paul's TV appearances! The message alone doesn't do it in this day and age, unfortunately - I mean, to attract as wide a base as we can.

I haven't seen it either, but I've seen others with that fish eye lens and he looks terrible.

I don't know why everyone was complaining about the image quality - it looked fine to me. The only bad part was the microphone - it sounded like Ron was sitting inside a tin can. :)

Guys we should totally flood Piers' email in support of Ron Paul and thanking him for having Paul on, this will give him incentive to have him on in person.

The problem is not that the campaign won't invest money into things like that, and debate prep, canned lines and the such, it's simply that Ron Paul doesn't do stuff like that. Period. It's part of why so many of us admire him. hate it or love it, it has nothing to do with his campaign.

Ron nailed it. I didn't like that Piers was calling him "Ron", but I guess that's how he does things on his show. The camera was not an issue at all. I didn't even notice. With the kind of things Ron is saying, I don't have time to go over what lighting would look better.

The Governor that came on after him.. I don't know, he wouldn't say who he would support, and I was thinking that might mean it would be Ron, then when Piers said ".. So out of those 3 (Romney, Perry, Bachmann), who would you support?" And the Governor went straight into how Ron has a huge Tea Party backing.

Piers just cant do it like the Fox News guys can.

Camera seemed fine IMO. Sanford is the real deal BTW

P.S. Welcome to the forum you guys, nice to have you here!

It is actually not bad, that is usually how televised webcam interviews go, except for when it is Oprah, lol.
