Ron Paul to be on CNN Piers Morgan show tonight 9 p.p. ET

if you don't like the image, just send the audio to your friends. it'll probably be available at that ron paul podcast page tomorrow.
The Audio and Video are a distraction... there were freeze frames(dropouts) and the audio quality has compression flange effect.

This all can be quickly corrected with: some makeup blot, a HD cam, quality mic and enough uplink bandwidth.

Image is everything to dumb-down America. Just last night's appearance by Perry and Bachmann in Iowa, Perry demanded Tungsten lighting and Bachmann Metal Halide. They delayed until the light was perfect for each.

No distractions when you are delivering a message of selling/acceptance.

PS: Very Cool... CNN showing a video clip of the GOP candidates vying for TP support, nice RP clip followed-up by: Mark Sanford saying, "Ron Paul, who you just had on, has a huge Tea Party following..."

Yes he nailed the interview, but the campaign dropped the ball on this webcam bullshit. He looked terrible. We live in an image-obsessed society and everything he said was undermined by this absolute failure in presentation. Who the hell is his media director?

^This.

The message I am afraid may be lost on the viewer due to the poor quality of Skype. Appearances mean everything and this kind of amateur stuff makes it look like it is not a serious campaign. We do not need to give the MSM any ammunition. How could the campaign allow this.

Has Sanford mentioned Paul yet?

Edit: ok I read above

This is really an under-discussed aspect of Paul's allies.

Sanford really likes Ron. He probably likes Bachmann and Perry too.

But I could see him endorsing Ron at some point.

I haven't seen it to see how bad the camera was. Was the audio good? One might argue that the crappy webcam was put there on purpose....one of the people type things....but like I said I haven't seen it and if the audio was good, then its all good.

i shall await a toob.

No one in my family seemed to mind the camera. The media blackout and now this interview has helped turn my parents from "I'll vote for him" to full blown supporters. So, please let's not focus too much on the camera. That interview was amazing! If it bugs too many of you, start a chip-in and send a high quality webcam as a gift to Robert Paul and write a nice letter about how you'd like to see his father look nice on TV.

I'm 16. I turned on CNN to watch Ron's interview, my grandma and cuz walked in the room. As I was watching, which was an amazing interview, my cusoin who lives in a democratic household said, "I'm agreeing with everything that he is talking about". I started getting all teary eyed. And thought, "It makes me so happy to see someone like ron Paul fighting for what is right". And I'm seriously thinking about my future going in a direction of fighting for those very things.

Awesome. See, you negative Nellies? It's the message that's most important.

I am yet to see this interview -- it isn't online anywhere yet -- but I agree that image is very important these days. Of course, the message is #1, and Dr. Paul can't be beat there, but people too often cannot look past poor image work or poor presentation, and we have to get the campaign to fix this early on. Gotta dress presidential and gotta present presidential to be taken seriously as a contender for the big one.

Obviously, Dr. Paul has the support and the money to stay in the race til the cows come home, so the campaign needs to invest some of those $$$ we donate to buy some really good teleconferencing equipment! I think this is a must. And get a professional make up artist or a consultant for Dr. Paul's TV appearances! The message alone doesn't do it in this day and age, unfortunately - I mean, to attract as wide a base as we can.

Ron nailed it. I didn't like that Piers was calling him "Ron", but I guess that's how he does things on his show. The camera was not an issue at all. I didn't even notice. With the kind of things Ron is saying, I don't have time to go over what lighting would look better.

The Governor that came on after him.. I don't know, he wouldn't say who he would support, and I was thinking that might mean it would be Ron, then when Piers said ".. So out of those 3 (Romney, Perry, Bachmann), who would you support?" And the Governor went straight into how Ron has a huge Tea Party backing.

Piers just cant do it like the Fox News guys can.

Does anyone have a link!? Why is this the one interview that isn't up on YouTube within minutes after it ends? Damnit!

So, to all you folks with your fancy video capture software... what's the ETA on a video of the interview?

Yeah sanford is friends with Dr. Paul. When Sanford was in congress he considered Dr. Paul a mentor of sorts. It is a shame he did what he did as governor....
