Ron Paul to appear on MTV Today, Sat. 2-2-08 6pmET

i thought ron did a good job. it was nice seeing him actually have a fair chance to speak! this only helps..

props to the crowd in times square too!

Excellent job IMO. He would have my vote if I were able to vote (unfortunately only 16). Hopefully now that he has gotten some good airtime, his message will spread significantly.

Somebody should knock out that liberal Washington Post fool. He had to point out that Ron Paul "wasn't relevant". UGH! Any chance these establishment scum can, they will knock him down. He only defeated Rudy Giuliani, the most relevant 4 months ago.

And now these ignorant young voters are going to nuthug Obama's rhetoric about change. The MTV crowd is completely worn of any intelligence.

Damn I hate the fact I can't watch this online or on the tube

it was online. i just went to MTV.com and they had a stream.

i think ron did well. i mean his answers were good, but i think he might have gone over a lot of peoples heads especially with the topic bouncing.

mtv's questions and the washington post guy's comments were pretty f'ed up though. total "trick questions" and attempting to invalidate his support.

ugh.

nice. ron paul gets a trick question about how he will help darfur, and obama's poll is "is a president's past experiences important to you?"

...

Oh, guys, don't be too harsh. They let Paul on the show, gave him as much time as everyone else is getting, gave him at least partially fair questions, noted that he had very strong online support, and were very careful to state that they were only noting, not invalidating, his strong online support tinging the results. They even showed the Paul supporters in Time Square, which they didn't have to do. This was probably the fairest showing Dr. Paul has ever gotten.

True, but Dr. Paul would not want us to just deal with the status quo. Certainly MTV did an excellent job giving a fair forum for the candidates, but they could have definitely thrown Chris straight through the window.

Yes, I know that, but we can't always complain about everything. Imagine if the media had handled this election like MTV has. Ron Paul sure as hell would be a lot higher. There's always going to be somebody that will try and screw with us, there's just that many ignorant people. But acting like the whole network was like that isn't fair.

I look at the online polls this way. Our online support is so much stronger than other campaigns that we can probably take 10% off each of those very positive feedback polls as supporter votes more than other campaign's supporters will give. That still reflect a VERY strong positive showing.

Not sure what you are disagreeing with me about. I said they did an excellent job. We have a whole forum on 'Bad Media Reporting', so I don't think I'm going out of line to complain about how that comment would not have happened with any other candidate.
