The problem is he handles it poorly. He is rambling, looks terrible and is coming off as a cranky old man. Do you really think undecided voters are looking at him right now thinking "wow I really want to vote for this guy"

The only way to react is to make clear the direction. Voters see the distance, they don't see the direction. The only way to do that is to show all the other dirt the candidates are hiding that is the actual truth.
