One thing we need to consider: the fly in the ointment about the march idea is the media. We could have a 20 million people there, but if the media decides not to cover it, it didn't happen. Or, even if we had 20 million and the media DID cover it, what's to prevent them from playing with the reported numbers? They could easily take a million people and cut it down to about 15 thousand when they report on it. They do this type of thing all the time with the Right to Life marches. But when some liberal group marches on Washington, their true numbers double when it gets reported.

We really should address this issue and see if we can come up with a counter to it.

That's not bad. We should have counters of some kind... Even if they're web based and semi-real time. It would make a pretty cool display, like in the anti-smoking commercials "truth" when they have an actual counter of the number of deaths, but we get a large counter display that keeps an estimated count of attendants.

Another cool thing would be to setup live webcams at different locations for different events and on the website have a counter of the total viewers. This same count could be shown on the counters under the podium when speeches are being given to show the total viewers on the website.

We could shut the media out and make it entirely web based broadcasts.

this can be done, you can actually PAY for the satellite images... not sure how much, but we could chip in for this... and there will be no denying it... we need the height to be at like 5k feet, so it will show the entire crowd and how we fill the mall.

Since RP HQ will officially announce the date, and he said today that either Memorial Day or Independence Day could work, now leaning toward Independence Day...

Can you imagine millions converged on the Mall for the 4th of July festivities, a day of music, history and Patriotic speeches in the spirit of 1776, followed by a glorious fireworks display of the rocket's red glare, w/ bombs bursting in the air, giving truth to the night, our Flag is still there!?!

(Having said that, whichever day Ron Paul chooses I'm fully behind 1776%)
