I hope someone from Ron Paul's campaign is reading this.
I watched the FL GOP debate last night and was disappointed with the little airtime Ron Paul was given relative to the other candidates. But what was even more disappointing was Dr Paul's poor delivery of his message and the esoteric question he had for Sen. McCain. The content of Dr Paul's statements were not very clear and the delivery was rather fragmented. He needs to talk slower and articulate his thoughts better for the people hearing him for the first time. First time viwers of Dr Paul probably had no idea what he was taking about. And I'd bet that Dr Paul's question to Sen. McCain probably confused a lot of people as well. I doubt even 1 percent of the population know what the Working Group is. Frankly, I doubt McCain is all that familiar with the Working Group either, judging from his response. Unfortunately, such esoteric questions don't stump the addressee. They only confuse the viewers.

That may be true, but I looked it up after I heard the question. That just how I roll.

It is more a sad statement about our education system and the ignorance of the voting public than anything.
The majority of people watching the debate think Ron Paul is weird, because they don't understand what he's saying.
When we watch Ron Paul, we think the other candidates are morons, because they don't understand what Ron Paul is saying.

And then the MSM reinforces it. Then people don't feel a need to research as the viewer is now validated as being "right".

if you guys have not noticed. RP supporters are generally a lot smarter than most other supporters. Seriously. I could talk to you guys for hours on in and have. If the public is that stupid we can always blame the department of education. :D

Further truth...visit the forums of other candidates

It is obvious that the Federal Government has once again failed the citizens of these United States with a sub-par educational program. The challenge is educating the masses of this truth and getting them to elect the only person who can save this country from the inevitable demise it is facing.

No way he said this. Really?

Heard the same comment about Ron twice while canvassing today. Strange thing is most people seem to accept it but hope for better.

A five-minute talk with the average voter usually leaves me wanting to bang my head against the nearest wall.

I caught some of Jay Leno's Street Walking last night, and I just shook my head, at both the stupidity of the responses, and that some if not all them were voters. They sure as hell weren't Paul voters; too damned stupid.

Perhaps we need to make cheesy commercials where contestants/voters are quizzed on the candidates' positions.

Dumbing down the electorate is part of the long-term plan.

You don't honestly believe public schools are so bad just because of incompetence do you?

The teachers who want to make a difference aren't even allowed to do so!

If anyone has ever studied the principals of mass communication theory, then one would know that when engaging in mass communication you need to "dumb down" the message as much as possible in order for it to be most effective. The campaign fails big time in addressing this truth, IMO.

I design websites and do advertising layouts for small comanies and the one thing that I harp on constantly is to play to the 'lowest common denominator'. If you don't make your advertising simple enough for the average third-grader to understand, it will sail over most people's heads. Sad, but true. This is, IMHO, where Dr. Paul is losing a lot of votes. He is playing champonship chess with people who have trouble getting through a game of checkers.
