Just got back from the rally.
It was in an airport hangar. THere were probably 150-200 McCain people and 30 Ron Paul people.
I didn't have time to make a sign unfortunately, so I just brough my 3x5 sign. There were about ten of those signs.
We all stood quietly throughout his bullcrap talking about the "long struggle" against "Islamo-Facsism", how he was going to reduce spending, how the Republicans lost the 2006 elections because of spending not because of the war, blah-blah-blah, I had to keep using my sign to cover my face when I yawned.
The more notable signs that others brought:
"100 Year Undeclared War"
"Don't Send Our Brave Sons to Die in Iraq"
"McCain is a Democrat" on the other side "Stop Liberal Conservatism"
"Use Your Brain Google Ron Paul" on the other side "Restore the Constitution Vote for Ron Paul"
Our local media got close ups of all the signs so I expect to see it on the news tonight.
The fun started when the event was over and everyone departed. Most people that were in the crowd weren't aware there was a wall of Ron Paul signs behind them lol
One lady saw the "REstore the Constitution Vote for Ron Paul" sign and went to the lovely young lady holding the sign and said, "You should be ashamed of yourself" lol
A guy in his 60's got in the face of the guy who was holding the "100 Years of Undeclared War" I didn't catch it all, but I heard him say, "You wouldn't be saying that if you were in the Twin Towers!"
The Paul supporter said, "Declare war and define the enemy," at which point the McCrazy lunged at him like he was going to hit him.
I got interviewed by the AP and some other Ron Paul supporters were interviewed by various local media.
One McCain person came up to me and said we were doing a great job. I asked him if he wanted a sign and he said sure. We had several people ask for signs.
I'm not sure if we got on any live television there were so many cameras there. Even, what I guess was either Chinese or Japanese media were there.
It was fun and we were VERY respectful!
