Ok, so that rules that out, (grrrr. lol).
Sure, but I bet you can't name another festival where Peter Schiff would be considered a draw. Someone like Doug Stanhope would see his biggest audience in years, and be well received, well paid, and happy. Rogan... I dunno, he seems to be making money. I'm just saying this is apples to oranges when you compare it to other festivals, and especially other music festivals.
This festival is not an attempt to pull the same audience that Kahbang is. And proximity to either is a consideration, as it always is. I get that. But this event is in Tampa, near the RNC, so it's more likely to grab the politically conscience person than the average Bassnectar fan. Whole different crowd.
Also, add up the Paul donors between 2007-1012. These aren't even people who have purchased music from bands, but people who have thrown money into the air. (yes, I know some will say unwisely so.) Then add onto that anyone convinced who has not donated. Then add on people who care about the lineup.
We're sending off an icon, for the most part. There's another reason to go. Just comparing this to your average music festival is, like I said, apples to oranges.
