Ron Paul supporters now working on two pre-RNC festivals

I'm not too knowledgeable on things but why would it better to have it during the convention? Don't we want people at the convention?

But yeah we should really not have two things at the same time. Can't one of them change dates?
Do one before the convention and one during or after.

It would be better to have it during the convention because the site of the fairgrounds would serve as a place to sleep. If it was a big event, there would be buses to take people back and forth between the convention and the festival. Mostly, the place to sleep.

After the convention? The festival would or could serve as a base of operations. The plan "what do we do at the convention" is developed, and explained. People are trained, and moved to the convention.

SHOW THEM WHO THE REVOLUTION IS!!!!!

How cool would it be to be sitting around camping and have Ron come and hang out.

Just a big ol bunch of patriots with their Commander in Chief sitting around singing patriotic songs, strategizing, debating and HAVING FUN!!!

Where do you think people will be sleeping on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday nights?

At the Tampa fairgrounds.

As has been said on here. Camping will continue AFTER Paul Fest DURING the convention.

Can you show me a link to that?

THERE WILL BE TENT AND RV CAMPING AVAILABLE AT THE FAIRGROUNDS
FOR BOTH PAUL FESTIVAL AND THE WEEK OF THE RNC!!!

RATES WILL BE POSTED SOON, SO STAY TUNED!!

Ok, if THIS is true, the value goes up a lot.

If someone could go down there with a RV, park their RV there for a week - first watch a music festival, then go to the convention - it most certainly could serve as a base of operations throughout the entire Convention. IF that works, if there is that at the Tampa Fairgrounds.

If this 7 days of RV and Tent Camping at Tampa Fairgrounds is true, gonna need buses. Buses take people to the Fairgrounds, and when at the Fairgrounds, from the Fairgrounds to the Convention.

Anyone else notice that the joker who is complaining about it being "TOO FAR!!!" created his account this month, and most (if not all) of his posts have been him pissing about how much of a bad idea this is?

I am taking bets, is he a romntard or a organizer for freedom festival. ? :) Oh and -rep him.

Hey dewd, that college band you like just went gold with their album, so you better start slagging them now that they've "sold out".

The Freedom Fest is TOO FAR AWAY from the convention. The Paul Fest should be FREE, not a money making adventure, a simple money bomb could pay for the expenses, including the overpriced camp grounds if there is money left over. Even 10,000 people at 77.00, that's 770,000.00. Where is all this money going. How much does the fairgrounds cost or is this some big secret to those wanting to hold and profit from the event. And where did they come up with the advance money to secure this site. That's the questions I want answered. A FREE Paul Fest would attract ten times the amount of people compared to one charging 77.00. If the point of this festival is to attract people and get them to come to the convention afterwards then it should be maximizing that potential by making the festival FREE.

Maybe people would listen to you more if you posted under your real acount instead of your sockpuppet account. You sound like a real bummer to hang out with. Nothing but negativity and BS. Nothing in life is free, Genius.

Wow, a lot of words for no answer.

What was the answer again?

Like I said, I already answered it twice, and seen other people answer it for you several times. I'm not going to keep answering since you obviously aren't really seeking an answer. Your goal here seems to be disruptive, otherwise you'd not be running around making the same complaints in every related thread. We all know how you feel by this point.

I think you are mistaking this person for someone seeking answers. They will continue to bring up this subject in later related threads. Watch.

No actually, that isn't true. You might be on these threads all the time, but people often don't hear the disadvantages of these festivals when theres a new thread everytime something slightly new happens, instead of one thread discussing the entire thing.

I should add that my position on this event is now contingent on whether theres affordable and/or good camping at the Florida campgrounds during the convention.

If someone could say I"m getting in an RV, driving to Tampa, staying in the Tampa Fairgrounds for 7 days, first 3 days i watch some bands, at night i sleep in the rv, next 4 days i go to the convention every day, and at night i go back to sleep at the rv. That seems worthwhile to me, and I think people would want to do that.

RVs sleep 6 I think.

Yeah I want to participate in the convention effort especially if I am coming from California.

I will just keep checking the updates on the site, this forum and the dailypaul for updates.

Until then, I love the RV Idea and that will allow far more privacy to do with your night as you please.

If you're talking about me, no. If it's clear that someone can drop an RV in the parking lot of the Tampa Fairgrounds for 7 days, from the start of the Paul Festival to the end of the convention, I can definitely see the potential merit. People taking buses and camping for 7 days, people taking buses and staying in an rv for 7 days, people renting, or buying rvs, driving them down and staying in them.
