Ron Paul: ‘Safe to say’ I’m not a fan of Christie

Paul said he didn’t appreciate the incident, but that it was an important moment highlighting the libertarian views held by him and his son. However, he said he would have much rather seen a debate about ending the Federal Reserve, a long-championed position.

“I don’t like the bickering back and forth,” he said. “I think it was significant debate: one person blasting those of us who believe in liberty and saying you shouldn’t be that critical of the government, that is significant, but still again two politicians going at it — I would much rather talk about why we should have a Fed or why we shouldn’t.”

Probably as close as we're going to get to a direct attack on Rand from Ron.

Really weird that above all things this would stand out to you and that likely you'd want him to go for blood.

It's pretty standard fare from Ron, aside from the part I quoted. Why wouldn't that stand out?

I don't expect Ron to go for blood, either. It's his son, he's going to be proud and generally supportive of him unless he goes on some mass murder spree.

Lest you guys think I'm overly partisan for Ron, I actually agree with Rand here.

Granted: I do agree with Ron too, the issues are what matters, at the same point, Chris Christie is evil and Rand was actually exceptionally kind, all things considering.

Then again, Ron would probably get on me for some of the personal attacks I've made as well. Its a stylistic difference, not really a big deal.
