February 13, 2015—A man whose name is on most of my shirts, Ron Paul, joined the show to break down President Obama’s new war resolution. We covered a lot of ground. From letters of marque and reprisal as a possibility for defeating the Islamic State to partisanship and the reality of blowback.

“It’s the biggest mess in foreign policy I can conceive of,” the former Republican congressman said.

On the Islamic State news Dr. Paul explained, “It really hurts us who are trying to get the people to understand what’s really going on because all you have to do is have one person burned to death or one people beheaded. And they don’t think about the 60 that were beheaded in Saudi Arabia last year, and how Saudi Arabia may well have been instrumental in the financing of 9/11.”

I asked Paul how to get this message through to the political right. What if we just blamed Bill Clinton for blowback? Would that work better? He replied, “It’s really amazing how much partisanism there is, and yet the parties are the same!”

Ron Paul is optimistic but also realistic about spreading the message of liberty. “With people like Snowden around, it becomes even easier for us. But there still is a lot of ignorance out there and the need to just go along. You can imagine how the zombies will follow Hillary once she gets going.”

What’s next for Ron Paul? A book to be “out someday” on war, from Paul’s memory of World War II to his protests on the House Floor. Thanks for listening.

Upcoming: Ron Paul’s New Book on War

Ron Paul revealed Thursday that he is preparing for publication a new book he has written about war. Paul made the revelation at the conclusion of a wide-ranging foreign policy interview on the Scott Horton Show.

The former United States House of Representative member and presidential candidate discloses in the interview that his new book concerns the issue of war and is “written from a personal viewpoint.” Paul says the book addresses his experience as a child during World War II and the question “How did I become so antiwar?”

The new book, the name of which Paul did not disclose in the interview, will be Paul’s first book-length examination of the war issue — an issue on which Paul has focused through decades of political and educational activities. Paul has continued this focus after retiring from the House of Representatives. In 2013 Paul founded the Ron Paul Institute for Peace and Prosperity, where he serves as chairman.

Paul is the author of several books including best-sellers The Revolution: A Manifesto, End the Fed, and Liberty Defined. Paul’s 2007 book A Foreign Policy of Freedom is a collection of his foreign policy speeches and writings from the previous 30 years.

Paul did not provide an expected publication date in the interview.

The parties are the same, using the same relentless false flag tactics to push war and militarism. The Obama regime has just spent six months in a non-stop PR campaign to pump up ISIS, culminating in his promoting the AUMF, legislation that would give the War Party (through the White House) permanent and open-ended cover to send troops anywhere, anytime to 'fight ISIS,' unilaterally with no further authorization. Anybody think this move wasn't planned months ago, as its introduction "just happens" to perfectly coincide with the "threat?"

This is what we are up against--shattering a war mentality that is literally sustained by a well-scheduled, bloody shirt trail of dead bodies. We cannot get our message across, about non-intervention or blowback, while this war framework goes unchallenged.

This means confronting the lie that ISIS is an uncontrolled enemy, instead of the truth that it's a covert op-sustained bogeyman and asset of Western intelligence. Until Paul and the rest of us wake up people about that, the people will not be conscious to hear our message.
