There are a lot of kooks and conspiracy theorists that think the rapture won't come if we don't babysit Israel

How insane is their notion, Almighty God's prophecies are dependent on these kooks babysitting?

Some of these rapture readiness theories are just crazy, these people need to be kept 100 miles away away from US foreign policy making.

I agree, but it almost seems like they are the ones writing our foreign policy, or at least using this "prophecy" to gain support for their foreign policy.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but haven't we spent more treasure and blood fighting in, and for European nations, than Israel? I mean, we actually have bases and military stationed there. So, isn't it more of a great big "European Conspiracy?"
The constant focus on Israel in these forums makes me want to puke. It's enough to simply say "non-invertentionist, no entagling alliances," period.

You are partially correct, Iraq war was a result of marriage of different constituents interests, Oil being one of them. Our policy towards Israel is a key component of US Mid East policy and influences every stance we take there including our position on Israel-Palestine issue. Much of terror threat is product of Israeli-Arab issue or relates to it directly, areas under Israeli occupation have been breeding ground of suicide terror for decades.

Which interest groups had been pushing for US invasion of Iran lately? Some self-declared , and short sighted in my view, supporters of Israel supported mistake of Iraq war. These groups, neoconservatives have been behind smearing Ron Paul because RP opposes war policy. This issue is very much part of US foreign policy debate.

I believe he was correct in this. As it turned out though our friend Israel that has had a spy on every corner of the land for years and if you study this you will discover they stole their nukes from us.

I wanted to quickly browse through it but ended up watching the whole video. Wow, some very interesting details on the inner workings of our political system. 35 minutes into the video clip, what Colonel Wilkerson , Colin Powel's Chief of Staff, said about Powel's presentation at UN just before Iraq war and that he can't sleep at night sometimes because of his role in it has shocking details about what happened. This is an incredible video.

I actually don't believe that for even one second - never did - BUT it's one of those bluffs that one doesn't really feel like calling - just in case or unless it's worth it.

I do believe that Israel has a few US supplied nuclear-tipped cruise missiles on their German subs, though. But there is no "Samson Option" option with those alone, even if they can evade the various shadows shadowing them...

I will watch whole video later but after just watching first 10 mins of this vid, this has way more shocking content than I had seen on couple of short youtuve vids before. One can see where so much hatred comes from.

GAZA CITY, Gaza Strip - The Israeli army stepped up a broad offensive in the Gaza Strip on Thursday, killing at least nine Palestinians with airstrikes and shelling attacks after militants fired a rocket that struck deep into Israel.

Palestinians accused Israel of poisoning the atmosphere ahead of President Bush's visit to the region next week.

In strikes all over Gaza, Israeli aircraft and tanks hit buildings the Israelis said were used by militants. In one clash, Israel shelled a house in the southern city of Khan Younis, killing a militant along with his mother, sister and brother. Israeli army spokeswoman Capt. Noa Meir said militants were "intentionally using civilian areas" to fire at troops and blamed them for the deaths.

After the shelling, the three-story house leaned to one side, barely standing, as an Israeli bulldozer leveled land nearby.

In another strike, a 14-year-old boy was critically wounded. His limp body, a mangled foot dangling, was rushed into a hospital emergency room.

It's not that he doesn't care about Israel. It is about taking money from people who may not care about Israel and sending it over to Israel.

I personally object to the government taking my money and doing things with it that I would like to do myself. When I see poor people in other countries, I feel bad for them and would like to help them, but you see, the government already took the money I would send to those people and is sending it to some other people.

It is not right that the government should make up my mind as to where I would like to send my money to help people. If the government does it, do I feel like I did it or does it just make the government feel good because they stole my money and sent it over to that country for me?

I would rather have control over what charity I send my money to.

From what I've seen, the government sends our money to bad people all over the world then sends more to other bad people so they can fight with each other with the weapons they bought from us, using the money we sent to them.

Seems the only people making out there are the people making the weapons and the owners of the companies making the weapons.

It is better to just let those in our country send the money where they think it would be best put to use instead of stealing it from the people and using it to help rich people get richer.

I don't like supporting wars! Do you?
