I like the idea. My suggestion is to do it on Feb 4th day before Super Tuesday would show our support that we are not waiting to see how Ron Paul does on Super Tuesday to donate.

My other suggestion would be to do a rolling one where it starts at 12 pm on the east coast and then moves across the country with each time zone donating from 12pm to 1pm in their time zone. would still have totals for the evening news, not that they will cover it. but you could still bill it as Donations coming in in one hour combined, just each time zone does it in their hour. the lunch time bomb.

Sounds good. Pick a date. Hopefully one soon!!! I always kinda like Groundhog's Day but the 4th is cool with me too! You've got a good reason to use it.

Take my time zone idea and steal it. I could care less about credit....just GET DR. PAUL MORE MONEY!!!!!

Four hours - 7pm to 8pm in each of the four time zones

What about 7pm to 8pm in each of the four time zones? It would begin in the Eastern time zone and as the hours turns over, be picked up by Central, then Mountain, and finally Pacific. Since 8pm PST is 11pm EST, we probably shouldn't make the hour later than 7 to 8pm.

That makes a total of four hours for the fundraiser, therefore creating less stress on the servers, and encouraging friendly competition among time zones; each subsequent zone could attempt to improve on the previous zone's haul.

Do it when RP is in a live tv debate, subscribe/pledge to mobile phone list so that a text message can be sent to everyone at the start of the hour; go online, make your donation, coincide the end of the hour with the end of the debate and send RP a text mesage telling him how much he raised during the show. What hour would be best? 9-10 EST, translating to 6-7 PST? Not too late on the east coast so people would still be awake, not too early on the west coast so people will be getting home from work...

I think that would probably work. The thing I am really looking for is someone who can launch a site for this and organize it. This is just an idea I knew needed to be acted upon... so I'm just trying to get it to the right people.

Is this something that we might be able to get, say Trevor Lyman, to act on?
