You know why we come in fifth in all these primaries? Cos we waste all of our time coming up with new money bomb ideas and we don't canvass. Seriously, it's like everyone thinks they have the NEXT BEST IDEA EVER!

Guess what? We set a new fundraising record. The media doesn't care. They've shown time and time again they don't give a fuck about our moneybombs, or our blimps, or whatever.

Poll numbers talk, bullshit walks. No one on these damn boards wants to just go out and do the hard work, they all just wanna come up with new fancy ideas for campaigning.

Frustrating really.

I think that would probably work. The thing I am really looking for is someone who can launch a site for this and organize it. This is just an idea I knew needed to be acted upon... so I'm just trying to get it to the right people.

Is this something that we might be able to get, say Trevor Lyman, to act on?

I'm doing my best to force a decision on time and date (since time is of the essence.)

I don't think a website is all that important, since we're only talking about a week or two from now... what is far MORE important is a couple SHORT youtube vids playing it up. We might not bring in all that many new people (too short of notice) but we can still bring some extra cash into the campaign - which is always important.

And yes, please CANVASS too.

The media didn't even cover the second, larger $6M money bomb. I appreciate the originality of your idea and I'll make a donation if you do it but I don't think the media will cover it.

Canvassing isn't producing money for the campaign..hence, the point of the tread. It IS possible to canvas and donate.

also propose that meetup groups make this a fun Friday night party at a good location with prior approval but a location in which possibly other folks see those wacky Ron Paul people just having fun - and these other people will tend to notice that the enthusiasm is real!

This is a great idea- and it significantly lessens the chance of the servers crashing.

AND...

Each time zone is going to try to outdo each other! The east coast is going to push hard to make an unbeatable record, and each subsequent time zone will have the incentive to beat that record.

now damnet! You guys and your money bombs... *sigh*... I gave to the last bomb, and now this has come up. And I just HAVE to give to this one... it's not even a question. And another thing... whoever thought this one up... mercy, it's too good... but we can't fail, it's not even a consideration that we can make less than the last money bomb. I think our hopes were a bit dashed by the outcome in Iowa. But after Nevada and Glenn Becks recent statement that RP is the closest candidate to our founding fathers? yeah, we have to do this. FOX would just shit when they reported it. They probably wouldn't beings they entire event was done for the explicit reason to mock them. But CNN would have a field day. And oh my how well this would go towards hitting the $23 million we all know he needs.

We need to get this out to ALL the meetup groups, and EVERYBODY. If you're maxed out, find somebody who isn't and help em donate!

The even bigger slap in the face would be FOX having to realize that such an enormous amount had been raised in such a short amount of time just in the name of FOX's blatant lying to the public.

Get ahold of Alex Jones, Infowars, let's get some banners up and be a part of changing history!

A massive one hour money bomb after the debate will show the MSM support for Ron Paul's economic issues.

It also hasn't ever been done for an hour.

What about 7pm to 8pm in each of the four time zones? It would begin in the Eastern time zone and as the hours turns over, be picked up by Central, then Mountain, and finally Pacific. Since 8pm PST is 11pm EST, we probably shouldn't make the hour later than 7 to 8pm.

That makes a total of four hours for the fundraiser, therefore creating less stress on the servers, and encouraging friendly competition among time zones; each subsequent zone could attempt to improve on the previous zone's haul.

I think 7-8 is perfect. I like new. New is good!

canvassing is producing money because new Ron Paul voters are giving. 25% of MLK were first time donors.

to see if they would be able to do anything in beefing up the server to accomodate a full fledged blitz in an hour during a debate. I really think this would be the most exciting approach. And a text message during a live debate would make it kind of impossible for the MSM to blackout. Its the wonder of live tv. :~)

We'll need the money for the next 20 or so states after Super Tuesday. The buzz during the Super Bowl will be: Check this Ron Paul commercial and BTW, they broke another fund raising record yesterday.

I received a reply to my email today, from the Ron Paul Campaign's Valori Pyeatt, who assures me that they have made extensive changes to the site, which would allow for the site to withstand a one hour mass donation of this magnitude.

There have been some great ideas submitted. Awesome work on everyones part! I do have a conviction to keep this a ONE HOUR event, however, instead of a four hour one that would be the result of the rolling time zone idea. I think it would be great, also, to have competition between east and west coast-- BUT, maybe from another event? It seems like the farther we get away from the simplicity of an original concept, the harder it is to communicate the message to the masses.

I do think that the proposal of text message reminders at the top of the POWER HOUR would be fantastic. Does anyone know the start time of the last GOP debate?

Also, I still need some contact information for Trevor Lyman!!!!!!

I am working on getting some youtube videos lined up... so I will have to check back in here a bit later.
