Ron Paul POWER HOUR--Smashing the Campaign Finance Records with THE NEW MONEY BOMB

How about Lunch hour for Ron, you brown bag it to work and donate 10$ that would have gone to lunch to Ron Paul?

How about...

The Sixty Minutemen Money Bomb

The perfect date symbolwise might be April 18th (Paul Revere's Midnight Ride) but that might be too late? So perhaps it should be sooner.

Actually, we could play off of that by doing midnight to 1 am PST, playing off the Midnight Ride.

The Midnight Ride of Ron Paul Revere Money Bomb?

Thoughts?

I actually like the midnight ride at midnight est... it's 9 pm west coast, can take adantage of 10-11 pm news.... then it would be all over morning news next day.

I was on line at midnight the other bomb days anyway...

any thoughts?

Uh good plan and all but this will absolutely crush the servers (if you pulled it off) and they would crash and not be able to take any more donations. They crashed on Dec 16th when they had too many donors in the last hour of the money-bomb. What your talking about would be several times more people per hour meaning its impossible they would be able to handle it.

Could they prepare for it? Or have they already?

They have upgraded their website time and time again because of our money-bombs. For them to upgrade it to handle this kind of traffic would probably be next to impossible.. (if this were big especially)

Bad idea. they dont keep official records for what time money is donated. How about everyone focuses ona ctually winning, and becomes Pecinct Captains.

Probably so, but this sounds like an awesome idea.

Actually, I'd love to do this in one hour. Its fun to watch the money pour in that fast :)

I wish we could do it an hour after the debates.

organizing something like this would take a lot of effort and dedication on the part of the people doing it. i wonder if someone is actually up to the task instead of just talking about it.

Crushing the servers isn't the end of the world ("Ron Paul's latest hour long money bomb crashed the servers after accumulating over one million dollars...")

Lots of people were up on this board, which is why I suggested it, and really, the more I think about it, the more I like it.

Giving it a time that is actually a little late in the night gives it more ring and zest. People will stay up with anticipation rather than still be getting home from work (west coast).

So yea, I'm for something like:

The 60 Minutemen Money Bomb
Or,
The Midnight Ride of Ron Paul Revere
Or,
some other manifestation of this theme.

at 12pm EST (9 PST)

Promo type stuff: (with apologies to Longfellow)

Listen, my children, and you shall hear
Of the midnight ride of Ron Paul Revere,
On the XXXX of (January or Febuary), in Two Thousand Eight;
Through the night rode Ron Paul Revere;
To every American city and town,---
A cry of defiance, and not of fear,
A voice in the darkness, a knock at the door,
And a word that shall echo for evermore!
For, borne on the night-wind of the Past,
Through all our history, to the last,
In the hour of darkness and peril and need,
The people will waken and listen to hear
The hurrying hoof-beats of that steed,
And the midnight message of Ron Paul Revere.

Pointless. The media won't care. They don't keep hourly track anyways. And IT'S NOT GOING TO WIN US THE NOMINATION. Canvassing will. Canvassing = great idea.

Giving people incentive to donate to the campaign translates into donations which translates into ad time later. The media may or may not care. The war chest will care.
