Ron Paul outpolls TX Senator Cornyn 44% to 34%

Ron would take the Liberty movement to a whole new level if he did run. It would light a fire under everyone and heal many of the rifts between the different factions in the Liberty movement. Many of the other liberty candidates that are running in other states, could ride the wave to victory. It could be a defining moment for us.

Ron Paul...FUCK YEAH!!!

I think Cornyn seat is very vunerable. I travel alot in Texas and the only thing that is certain is the whole damn state is gaga for Cruz. If we can get someone to just get public endorsements from Big Paul and Cruz, then Cornyn will be looking for his next job before the ballots are counted. Cornyn record alone is enough to get him knocked out. Just his support on the bailouts is more than enough ammo to take him down.

Ron and Rand in the Senate? Sounds good to me, but Ron is likely done being a politician.

Ron would steal Rand's thunder and they both know it. As a result, Ron is focusing on the non-political aspect of the liberty movement at the moment, while Rand prepares to be the next President of the United States.

I'd definitely like to see Robert in the Senate, though.

i'm with cajuncocoa on this, indeedy i feel someone is about to get lucky
and i'd hate to be an incumbent, the odds are if Dr. Ron Paul runs, he wins
but if he leaves this choice open to one and all, i hope Robert wins in TX!

I'm sure there are plenty of great and hard working liberty supporters working within the GOP in Texas that could take on Cornyn and get Ron's blessing.

I think a lot of people will want to be Senator after Cruz's success.

Anyone on RPF know anything about David Barton?

Tea Party activists are reportedly urging Christian historian David Barton to primary against Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas). The move comes as some Texas Republicans question Cornyn’s devotion to conservative values.

Rick Green, a close adviser to Barton and a speaker for the historian’s WallBuilder‘s organization, told National Review Online (NRO) that more than 1,000 Tea Party and conservative leaders have asked Barton to run.

Yeah, i'd love to see Robert Paul run but he had a good opportunity last time and didn't take it so i'm not sure he'll want to run right now. Didn't he say something about waiting to run for office until his kids were grown?

It would make a Canadian the senior Texan Senator.

And Ron Paul a Junior Senator.
