Ron Paul outpolls TX Senator Cornyn 44% to 34%

Robert Paul needs to take this as a hint.

I am generally against nepotism, but if Gohmert or Stockman doesn't run, I hope Robert Paul does. He is one of the the only liberty-minded candidates who can actually raise money and win. Some of the people here seem to like Dwayne Stovall, but he has no chance of winning. He couldn't even win a state house primary last year.

Stovall could win if people were interested in the race, but as it stands we will have to make people interested.

Dr. Paul definitely needs so much deserved time away from that hellhole in D.C. but I must confess, I surely do miss having a man of his caliber in Washington. Don't get me wrong, Rand Paul is doing a great job but there will never ever be another like Ron Paul. I love his boldness. The man just oozes principal.

It's too bad that Debra Medina prefers state politics to the Federal level. Not sure we have another relative unknown like Cruz was that has enough bonefides to be a serious state-wide election candidate.

I don't think she prefers it, she just doesn't have much of a political resume. She served as a GOP chair or something like that at the county level. A bit hard to jump from that to a federal level position. Thanks to PerryCo and GlennBeckistinian she had to take two steps back when she got waylaid with the 911 question that damaged her governor campaign.

Cornyn is a neo-con, Israel first assclown, whom I would love to see go.

Ron Paul would be my #1 choice to replace him.

at an earlier point in time i had truly hoped that debra medina would be able to send rick perry
into early retirement. if ted cruz got his win because he wasn't a rick perry clone then i have
high hopes that if dr. ron gives robert pointers we might see texas repeating what KY did in '10

I know he's retired and not going to run

Ya, he's retired, but for an older man, he's still very healthy, and vital.

And, he obviously still has a great interest in our country.

So, why not run?

Then we can have a Paul/Paul ticket in 2016! :)

The good news is that an establishment turd is on the ropes. There must be one good tea party candidate that can knock him out. Texans want more senate representation like Cruz and I hope they get it or better. While Cruz is far from Rand Paul, I would still rather have him than John McCain.

She told me directly that she prefers State politics. She also was on track to win (or at least seriously challenge for) the primary for state Governor before she fumbled the ball on Beck's program. She has plenty of state wide support. She's running for State Comptroller BTW.

Because people, after spending years of working and dealing with opposition, deserve to have time off to relax, as opposed to the wishful thinking of places like here? Christ, people, he's not going to run.

Negative nancy here.... Sorry but this is just my perspective. In my rural area I was able to convince 3 young people to support Ron. 1 of them voted. None of them were in my family (except for the wife).

Hays won't beat Thornberry either. Won't even come close.

Yeah I know and I think she has a good shot.

I don't get how she's running for Comptroller, yet isn't an accountant...She's unqualified for the position. Does she know anything about accounting and financial reporting or auditing?

How did you try to convince them?

Also, a lot has changed since 2012. From what I've seen, Ron has benefited from being the father of Rand. If Ron had an approval poll today, I'm pretty sure he'd come out positive.

She earned her business degree in 1995 from LeTourneau University in Longview, Texas. In 2002 she founded and managed Prudentia Inc., a medical billing company
