Trump, the anti-establishment candidate. Blast from the past....

Ron Paul claimed he didn't get the endorsement of Donald Trump because he was the only Republican presidential "candidate that didn't kiss his ring."

Paul hit at his GOP rivals for meeting with the billionaire real estate mogul in 2011, the State Column reports. Mitt Romney, who met with Trump in late September but denied media access to the encounter, received Trump's endorsement Feb. 2, just days ahead of the 2012 Nevada Caucuses.

In an interview with Fox 13 News, Paul downplayed the value of Trump's endorsement, saying he "can't imagine why anybody talks about him."

"I don't think he has that much credibility," Paul said. "I never went up to see him. I don't understand why people pay any attention to him."

This isn't the first time Paul has jabbed Trump. He released an earlier statement asking "why anyone would care" about Trump's endorsement of Romney.

Paul also refused to participate in a Trump-moderated debate in early December, calling it "wildly inappropriate." Trump's debate appearance was eventually canceled.[(Looks like Ron canceled a business deal from the business man himself simply by not participating. Something to think on. ;))

Trump caused confusion this week when reports initially surfaced that he would endorse Newt Gingrich in the Republican presidential race. Trump's eventual endorsement of Romney carried an element of surprise considering Trump's history of bashing Romney.

Lol pretty telling. Guy endorses Hillary and Romney until he wants to win the nomination.

Make no mistake, Rand Paul was right to go after Trump. If Rand had been leading the polls during the early debates Trump would have been attacking him.

since we're going back to 2012...

This really shows Trump has no intention of fighting the establishment. Dec 27 was when Ron was leading in Iowa and had a REAL chance to break through. Trump was trying to take the real antiestablishment candidate down. What fools.

Trump: Huntsman and Paul are 'joke candidates'

The mogul said if the right GOP nominee doesn't emerge, he'll jump in as an independent

If “the wrong candidate is nominated to run” and “it’s a candidate that’s not going to win and not very good,’’ Trump said he would “certainly think about running as an independent.’’ Despite dalliances with a possible presidential bid in the past, Trump said he has never seriously considered it until this year

I remember getting people to donate to Ron because of his statements. He was going to Run 3rd party against Ron Paul to make sure the democrats win.

Maybe he didn't even know what Ron Paul symbolized. Trump relies on cable news to form his opinions, aside from the important stuff Roger Stone feeds him.
