They are talking over each other. Ron defines conception as impregnation and that doesn't happen for days after orgasm/intercourse. Piers seems to think conception is defined as time of orgasm/intercourse. This is why he is confused. Life does being at conception -- aka when the egg is impregnated with a sperm. This doesn't happen instantaneously.

abortion segment was not all that great. Paul needs to work on the delivery of his message here. It's a bit confusing to say "life begins at conception" and then advocate the day after style birth control. I don't know much about it all and I think that is the problem. Probably a lot of peoples' problem.

Conception does not occur automatically. It can take as many as 5 days to conceive.
