I think he stumbled a bit with the free-market, opec and oil part. When Ron said, "the market is more powerful than the market." (56 minute mark)

I think he meant to say that "corrupt" monopolies will never last in a true free-market. If there is a monopoly in a free-market, they must keep their service or product up or make them better. Once they start to degrade their service or products, other companies will form and take the monopoly's place.

That the market is more powerful than a monopolies. Ultimately, it's the consumers that hold the power to destroy monopolies in a truly free-market.
