Ron Paul on Glenn Beck!

Well Done!!!

I guess all the PANDERING PLAGIARIZING GOP HACKS are saying...

OH SH*T!

FINALLY, NATIONAL MEDIA COVERAGE

I never would of thought it of GLEN BECK

BRAVO GLEN BRAVO!!!

BRAVO RON BRAVO!!!

The interview was fine. All things considered, Beck was very fair. Ron even said so himself.

FANTASTIC interview! Are you people crazy?
Ron is seen as a conspiracy theorist to many mainstream voters, they needed that section to prove he isn't nuts!

Three cheers for Ron! He had the guts to risk pissing off the crazy 9-11 truthers who support him in order to say what he really believed. This is a man of integrity, and hopefully the 9-11 truthers (crazy as I think them to be) won't be TOO pissed off.

Who threatened Glenn anyways? I don't like him much, but come on. Death Threats?

Good Interview. I thought the 9/11 truther thing was a good touch as the Old Media made it a point as a reason to sideline us. He denouced it and now no one can easily elude to the fact that Paul supports the Truthers movement.

Favorable interview???

How can people grumble about a one hour RP interview on prime time cable TV? Once this is replayed at 9 EST, it's really two hours of prime time cable. What would satisfy all ya'll?

You complain about not mentioning the FBI. You can't speak about everything so one has to prioritize the topics. There's no complaints here.

Sure, the conspiracy talk wasn't optimal but I think it made Beck look bad rather than Ron Paul. This is unfortunate, because I think we all owe GB a huge debt of gratitude for this interview.

Best interview by far, I'm glad that Ron finally got the time he needed to explain things more clearly to everyone:cool:. I hope that a lot of people, particulary in SC and Iowa were watching.

I just want to know who the nutjob(s) were that threatened Beck and were dragging Ron Paul's good name in the mud in the process:mad:. Thank God Beck gave Ron the opportunity separate himself from those people who wanted Beck dead in the name of Ron Paul.:)

I can't understand why anyone would be upset with this interview. What do you want? One hour of the host talking about how great he is? That doesn't happen for any candidate.

I think Glenn is a closet Paulite and really would french kiss him given the chance. Great Interview

Some Ron Paul supporters really are nuts IMHO.

That being said, Ron Paul 2008 FTW!

That could be said about the supporters of ANY campaign. I am dismayed that Glen had to bring up that long awkward segment. The right thing to do would be to ignore those crazy death threats. It really wasn't fair to Paul.

I can call you crazy too. Please stop the mudslinging. And of course Ron Paul has to distance himself from the Truthers, and I have no qualm with that.

This was a great interview. As supporters, we know RP position on conspiracies. However, he needed to address the conspiracy issues to negate the accusations. Frankly, that has been one of the biggest problems RP has gain mainstream acceptance; the primary reason the unfamiliar discount him as a serious candidate. The mainstream doesn't do the research we do

I believe its on again at midnight also (check beck web page on CNN).

This was a great interview....Ron had plenty of time to expound on his ideas. Furthermore he had a great chance to distance himself from some of his extremist supporters who are ruining his credibility. Please do not tie your personal beliefs to Ron Paul. He can speak for himself!

We should all write to Glenn and thank him for the very generous offering of his forum.

If you want to express your displeasure with the hearsay curveball, do so in very diplomatic, respectful, and professional manner. he did allow a full response and acknowledged that the nuts are a very small minority.

send him a thank you note

Also demand a follow up because he owes us an answer on the FBI! Don't forget to go to his website and visit his sponsors, he's earned it

Threats?

I disagree strongly with the truthers, but that is beside the point. The real point was made by Dr. Paul in distancing himself firmly from this movement. I am not going to tell someone what they can or can't believe about 9/11-- maybe they are right and the rest of us are wrong. But I can tell someone to stop misrepresenting Dr. Paul's position on 9/11 by identifying him with this movement.

I went out and handed out slimjims with 60 people the other day-- 2 were wearing outfits with truther slogans while carrying RP signs-- many of the rest of us were visibly uncomforable, and all I could think about was how badly I saw people reacting to the truthers. Fortunately, a couple of colleagues took them aside and they "covered up" their truther logos-- though not after a lot of damage had already been done. And while I have met many good truthers on this board who understand the need to keep the two campaingns separate, I have also been flamed by those who disagree. Hopefully this interview will make it clear: Wearing truther gear in a RP rally is like wearing Pro Iraq-War gear in an RP rally-- whatever you think about those issues, it misrepresents what the campaign is about.

I'm not trying to sling mud, just pointing out the fact that Ron Paul, the mainstream public, and I all think terrorists brought down the WTCs, and that it was important for Ron to separate himself from those who think otherwise.
You can all believe what you want, but I think Glenn locked onto a key problem in Ron's campaign: everyone thinks its run by what they see as wackos. Ron and Glenn successfully changed that view.

EDIT: What Cardinal Red said.
