Ron Paul on Alex Jones, "I'm ambivalent about what to do next and undecided."

Not to show any unwarranted optimism here, but maybe he doesn't want to announce or even hint at it on AJ's show?
As far as health goes, I'd be a lot more concerned about Carol's health. Two years in a row during the last campaign, she ended up in the hospital in August.

If you listen to him, during the whole interview he sounds like his dipper's down... yet on other interviews, he sounds fired up.. So I hope maybe he just was having an off day.. We still need to show him that we support a run, and not just for education, but to win.
My guess?

He either had a very long rough day before the interview, or he wasn't able to exercise today which is often times has a noticeable effect on him.

Ron knows it's a crappy job and he's already mentioned once before that anyone that really wants to be president right now might just be crazy...

The worse the economy gets, the more Ron will feel confident that he must run. Ron is a saint...

I could cry. I'm 17 and voting for the first time in 2012. I've never agreed with any candidate on even half of their platform until RP. I didn't discover RP until AFTER 2008 thanks to the fucking MSM. NOW who should I vote for? I was left choosing between the least of many evils when searching for a candidate to support in 2008. It gets old.

Do what the rest of us did back then. If he isn't on your ballot, write him in. Do not settle for the lesser of two evils.

I'm not even going to listen.. It's up to him and only he knows exactly what he's up against and what he's been told behind closed doors. I'll trust his decision is the best one, but boy do I sure hope he runs because if not we have no one in place that can remotely generate the buzz that Ron does.

Not sure what the backup plan is because I sure as hell ain't voting for Gary who??

I think in '08 Dr. Paul was certain that he wouldn't win the Presidency. He ran an educational campaign. Now he knows that if he runs, it will be to win. And there is a good chance he could get all the way to the general election, which would result in him winning (easily).

Remember what happened to the last real candidate we had in this country?

RFK had literally just won the primary when he was murdered.

Asking Ron Paul to do this is asking him to make the last act of his life a sacrifice for the rest of us. Think of all the things he'll miss out on. His wife, sons and daughters, his grandchildren. (even great-grandchildren?).

And what's the catch?

If he becomes president and lives the rest of his life unmolested, he will basically miss out on all of that anyway. Except now his family becomes a target of violence, too.

What I'm trying to say is,... no one can "ask" Ron Paul to do this. Not even Carol. I don't even know how a man can weigh the pros and cons of this. If it was me, i'd shit my pants and run and hide.

And for the rest of us, this is the beginning of the end of our Dr. Paul experience. We don't have much time left with him. I know a lot of us see him as something of a father figure. It is time for us to begin the transition from zealous followers to cunning r3VOLutionaries. Some of us have made that transition already. To be clear, a zealous follower works their ass off getting out the vote and educating his fellow man. A cunning r3VOLutionary requires no vote or violence, only volition. Their methods and tactics rarely draw any mass attention and yet their fruits greatly effect us all. They are the embodiment of the cause of Freedom.

Let us hope that we never have to make the transition from cunning r3VOLutionary to freedom fighter.

Why is Ron cut off at the start of the video? How much are we missing? Any Prisonplanet TV subsrcibers here?

Thunderous fucking applause!

nate's post prompted me to read about RFK. was his death blowback?

Sirhan said that he felt betrayed by Kennedy's support for Israel in the June 1967 Six-Day War which had begun exactly one year before the assassination.[43]

This is exactly why he's the only one qualified for the job. HE DOES NOT WANT IT!

Look at Obama, Bush, etc. Power hunger egomaniacs hung up on being the most powerful person in the world and everyone kissing their ass.

Paul wants to return us to liberty, end wars, fix the financial system, etc. You know, actually serve the people - not rule them.

That's why we need him.

The RFK assassination is rife with evidence of inside job. Look into it a little. You'll be amazed. LAPD destroyed all of the evidence. Sirhan remembers nothing and fits the m.o. of a Manchurian Candidate. Two CIA hit men were photographed at the Ambassador Hotel. More bullets were dug out of the walls than would fit into Sirhan's hand gun. Sirhan shot from the front but RFK's fatal wound was to the back of his head. It just goes on and on.

Even worse, they might go after his family. He said it was a personal, family decision. How can we ask him to make this sacrifice? He's already given us so much. It's too much to ask. He's not going to run.

Edit: Oh right, you talked about this later in the post. Yeah, I agree with you. Imagine what it must be like right now for him. It's a heart-breaking decision either way. Imagine being threatened with your wife being disappeared, sent to Guantanamo to be raped and tortured.. I totally agree that it's the prospect of him actually winning this time that is the scariest part.

That ^^^

It was 13 March 2007 that he "offcially" announced his run in 2007.

He was hinting about it for months before that, on various shows and interviews, including Jones' show.

I'm not optimistic this time, his hints are that he will not run.

That said, it's all speculation on all of our parts, including "The Collins".

I suspect the only people that really would know one way or the other are Carol and Ron himself.

I'll say this, he certainly won't run if the support isn't there.

So call, write, email, fax, post, blog do whatever it takes, to let the man know there are millions of people out here that, should he decide to do it yet again, are behind him 100 percent.

Ron Paul!!!!!!

I got th impression that his ambivalence was toward the Senate seat, that it seems many are pushing.
But it could be more.

PM inbound.

He was practicing his upcoming Presidential run speeches in 2006...

Here's an interview from a Conference where he gave a keynote speech that was essentially his Presidential campaign speech.

I remember in a fox business interview a while back, he was asked if he was going to run in 2012, and he said something like...

"Anyone who wants the job today, has to be a bit insane", That's not a direct quote, but it was similar.

I highly doubt he actually wants to be president, even if he does end up running. TPTB would just set him up to be the captain that goes down with the ship, anyways.

If you don't want to run Ron don't do it. You can't run at half-speed. Half-hearted measures won't do.
