It should be a march & a rally. You can watch a rally on you tube. A rally isn't enough. Having it on the 4th the only people who will see it will be the people there. The media will be showing fireworks all night. This will get absolutely no coverage at all. The campaign should stay out of the way they have did enough.
I believe Ron Paul suporters what to make a statement a rally won't do it.
I do not think Ron is aggressive enough he should stick to legislation and the constitution that's what he does best. just my 2 cents.

Talk about the "me, me, me" generation. Wouldn't it be better, since it's a march for Ron Paul, to let him plan his own march? We don't need to be greedy about this. If he wants to plan it, my God, let him plan it.

Wow! Where on earth did you get that idea? We just don't want HQ involved. Ron Paul's input is a different story altogether. Talk about twisting people's words!

I reiterate: HQ should be focusing on ads comparing RP to McCain. Besides, this was a grassroots idea and it is intended to promote his message and the movement not just the man. A point he makes all the time and made in his "Go the Distance" speech.

HQ has proven itself to not be very competent. Haven't you ever notice the never-ending negative threads from people's personal experiences with them? Do you know anything about their take-over of the Philly march and that fiasco?

We can raise the money. It wasn't HQ that handled the money bombs. We are already in the planning stages of this including putting a planning committee together and working on permits, etc.

This is a grassroots idea. It should stay with the grassroots. How proud Ron Paul would be if we are able to show him and the nation first hand how clever and talented and industrious we the people are.


We don't need government interference and we don't need HQ interference. Having said that, if it turns out that Dr. Paul wants HQ to control this, we will turn over the reigns without incident - so don't sweat it. This isn't a pissing contest. No need to try to make it seem like it is.

There have been so many mis-steps/sabotage in the last few weeks, maybe we could agree, it is very passable Dr. Paul may be having some "trust issues" at this point and would prefer to play this close.

Question: if we shut every thing down with our sheer numbers of people, do you really need to get into the press? Hell No, but you can bet your ass, they'll be talking about it for weeks after, inside the beltway. This is where you want it to ring true.

With the "helpers of the Power", the powerful and controling are the hell out of there way before the weekend starts and will never hear anything about the Ron Paul March Movement. The only way to hit these people, is to disrupt their staff. I know that sounds stupid, but this may be the only way to give these people pause, over the next four years. In short we need to shake their asses up some!

Dr. Paul will pull the permits for oh say, maybe 5-600,000 and wow 3.5 million, "who woulda thunk it with such low poll numbers". Come' on start thinking outside the box. I think the last thing he wants is true organization, when peaceful chaos is much more effective! Yes to the 4th of July and yes to chaos!

That is an interesting perspective. I'm near DC and the thought of the 4th just made me cringe because it is such a flipping nightmare to do anything in the area...but you're right. We really could shut down that city. Interesting. Will be thinking on this some more.

I'm excited that Dr. Paul's campaign is thinking about this. I just watched the campaign update and it was the shot in the arm I needed.

The scope of this rally/march is enormous--with time constraints. I, for one, am tapped out for donations and am thrilled that some of the campaign $ could be used to plan this.

Wango tango folks. This man is on the money.. Now hush up about it and lets get it done. I am awaiting Ron's instructions and steganographics .. He knows what s going on.. That is why we feel good about him being a leader. Don't worry about HQ, they won't get in the way. Carol will make sure.. I have an instinct about that. She s a great mother hen and the last one from HQ made her perk her feathers up.

Anyone from the area knows, the pulse of the place is 'inside the Beltway' or so they believe. Point is, upset those folks, rattle their cages and you'll get all kinds of press, maybe in places you might not expect.

Please consider this also, maybe Dr. Paul is giving us a trial-run.

I believe Dr. Paul wants us to see our own mass as Movement. This latest lesson from our dear Dr. Teacher may indeed be pointed right back at us. Think about it, all week-end- To drink-in our huge numbers as political force. The lesson; we are a huge body of motivated voters, a Block of Voters that will be reckoned with politically!

The GOP would hear about the March that's for sure and by then we may have delegates in place to flex some muscle at the Convention! Again that could part of the good doctor's plan.

It is sad isn't it? The man wants a political rally to show support for his presidential bid and what kind of response does he get? A bunch of people who know more than he does.

I'll be completely honest about it. I have my reservations about going now on any date. Why? Because after reading all of the discussion threads and all of the crazy stunts people want to pull off... IE: Making this into an Anti-Government Demonstration, Masks, Guns, Storming the Congress, Scaring people.. The list goes on. I don't know if I want to be in the same city as all of that. Maybe you can win some new supporters from the Jerry Springer show with all of that talk but you are going to scare away the real base.

Hah, Get real dude. I am not starting any march. What thread was that? I am in this for Ron Paul and his campaign if you are to naive to realise that a march after the primary season is over is just a disaster waiting to happen then so be it.
