Ron Paul Iowa Veteran's Rally Discussion Thread: 7 PM ET

I'm not really feeling this. I feel like the "veterans" rally, isn't really a rally right now.

Like, I was looking more for a "feel good" positive speech, not more of what we've been hearing from him already. Now he's pitching his $1 trillion budget cut? Again...rally for "veterans"? Talk about the veterans, show examples of where the government wastes money repeatedly, and show how it neglects our veterans REPEATEDLY.
Am I missing something?

update: his voice is hit or miss now (depends on how well/cleanly he delivers the point he's trying to make). When he doesn't need to think about what he's going to say next, his voice = solid. But you can definitely tell when he's thinking about what should come next... his voice wavers a little bit.

Ah well.. hopefully he has something prepared for next Tuesday night.

I got two pharses out of the whole thing, "99%" and "my husband is a veteran too" no doubt someone from the media or one of us will interview them.

It's not the "what if" speech, but it's not bad. Sure, the protester was bad, and Ron looks tired. But it's normal. He is taking his time now, smiling, he is fine.

This speech needs to be more about veterans...foreign policy...it's not what was advertised...a fine Ron Paul speech, but a lost chance to correct false perceptions.
