Ron Paul Channel — What a Blast!

Have you been reading this site lately? It's pretty clear a lot of people need a refresher. But let me state: this is a news venture (not the same as a education venture).

Honest news is education.

Guess who needs it more than any of us, the very people not willing to pay for a Ron Paul channel!

Well, I just finished the first ep. Not bad. I'll be honest, I feel like I'm paying for more than just access to the broadcasts. I'm supporting the movement. I'm helping to fund the liberty machine, I'm adding to the subscriber count, which will be a key metric in how successful the channel is, which in turn will be seen as a key metric of how strong this movement is. But...

Above all, I'm supporting Ron. I've supported Ron Paul's campaigns for nearly a decade now. I put in thousands of dollars and hundreds of man hours between the 2008 and 2012 campaigns, and despite all the blood, sweat and tears, I still don't feel like I've done enough to show my gratitude. I don't think dr. Paul owes any of us a damn thing. He has been fighting this fight his whole life; he is nearly 80 years old now and he should be living a comfortable, private life in his retirement with carol, and yet he is still giving everything he has to this movement. He has awakened millions of Americans to the message of limited government and done more for that message than any of us could ever dream. So even if all my 10 dollars a month does is help make him and his family rich, I'm proud to be a part of that. He deserves it.

Kick ass Dr. Paul!

The question is, based on this model, how will it help spread the message of liberty?

Who wants to spend 10 dollars a month for something they don't agree with/don't care about.

This is why it needs to be broadcast over the air, possibly transitioning to cable/satellite in the future. Of course it could still be online as well.

If you don't like being called a "moocher" for disagreeing with tactics, I suggest you email Mr. McAdams: [mod removed address]

Thanks for the address. To by honest I mooch from time to time however I have serious disagreements with this from a business model/spreading liberty perspective.

I hope that they at least offer free excerpt/promotional material to the general public.

Who knows, maybe that would be the most balanced/effective approach.

The way I look at it is that Ron Paul is Ron Paul because he refuses to run anything that he does in the red.

I mean his behavior has earned him this much success so far, so maybe it will continue to work.

Let's hope.

People who vehemently disagree can always start working on their own version of a liberty channel I guess...

Is the BlazeTV free?

BlazeTV is also a model the simply preaches to the choir.

I don't see why Ron needs to worry about being beholden to advertisers. Looks at infowars, they have a ton of freedom oriented advertisers and Alex Jones reaches millions of people.

This channel is in it's embryonic stage. Maybe down the line it will be worth 9.95. I'll simply stick with the Blaze. I got it free with my cable package. Beck is generally good. Wilkow is impressive. They have a few libertarians on their Real News segment. It reminds me of Fox Business before they ousted Judge Nap.

with all due respect Mr. McAdams go fuck yourself, I traveled all over this country to straw polls and events to promote Ron, I did all this on my own dime till the last trip and only then accepted a chip in cause everyone wanted me to go. I assisted with the planning and executions of Moneybombs for him and his son, plus much more so I will not be called a GD moocher. If Ron only wants the message in these videos to reach 10,000 of the faithful and never expand beyond that I guess he can but I would myself like to see these videos reach millions

Tens of millions of people pay far more than this for HBO.

Creating good content takes money. it's worth it

I don't see a problem here. Those of us that want to support the channel can do so and it's available for free on youtube the day after. Seems reasonable to me if one wants to share the program with others to get the message out...

If that's how it was it would be awesome, but I have a feeling that isn't going to be that way it happens.

The youtube channel making it free afterward is doing so illegally. It's the same people with ronpaul dot com ripping off Ron like they always do. If the company Ron has hired for this is worth anything they will get those videos removed from youtube.

oh, I thought it was put up by the actual channel, we're beyond the point of preaching to the choir. It just seemed like something that would be logical to do considering that the goal should be to get the message out...

He's telling you things that you already know. If that's his goal then it doesn't live up to a larger goal many of us "moochers" were hoping for.

It's quite presumptuous to say everybody committed to him knows all the ins and outs of the philosophy. It's obvious that's not the case if you spend any amount of time reading this forum.

But, again, this channel is about providing you the news of the day without the spin, with an austro-libertarian perspective. You may think that will fail in the market place. We'll see.

From what i understand, the only show on the channel so far is Ron's. I thought it would more so be a network instead of only a channel. That is, I thought it would be a 24/7, 7 days a week channel with a whole hosts of analysts with a number of shows on the channel, like the Blaze T.V. I don't see how paying 10 dollars a month is worth it for me.

Although it took a while for the Blaze to get like it is now, it was offering a bunch of content already from the start. You had Glenn's 3 hour radio, plus the 4th hour with Pat and Stu, Liberty Treehouse, Glenn at 5, and then the Real News at 6. Within a month there was 4-5 more shows. Soon after, it was 24/7. Then it was being offered on cable. Then it was offered free on many cable stations. Finally, in late 2012, it was being broadcast on Sirius XM radio on its own channel.(aka, The Blaze Radio)
