Ron Paul Billboards (48 feet by 14 feet) need mockups!

+ rep for a lot of great work! Des Moines has a number of high res billboards as well. One is across from the largest mall in town.

Why not another Ron Paul First? First campaign with digital ads which can be quickly updated and target topical issues.

"2012" Ron Paul Dollar - (Gold Coin)

Here's a gift for all of you who put up with my eccentricities!

I will be replacing the "zeroes" in Billboard 04, with this and other coins.

I'm trying to make the first Digital Billboard series so that it can be placed anywhere in the nation. Our account executive at Lamar can handle any national placement from her position and she ... rocks. I have complete confidence in her at this time.

By the way, you ain't seen NUTTIN' YET ! And thanks for the reps.

With a DigiBoard series running nationally we could bargain really, REALLY hard for lower prices. Lower "CPT", (Cost Per Thousand - Impressions)

Digital, (electronic), Billboard S-01 Board 04 v05 MILESTONE 02

Ok, I'm going to work the upgrades and edits to S-01 Boards 01-03 v05 backwards, using the format from this one to bring the others up. This is the "Punch Line" Board, it ties all the rest together, it is the "relief", it is the "choice".

DigiBoardS01Board04v05zf.jpg

This board, the technical aspects of the graphic, meet the requirements for Lamar's Digital Billboards, it could, be posted now. The graphic you are viewing IS a product, however, it must go through an approval process with the superiors to our account executive. And ... it is NOT a tax, ;-)

And of course, this is the LAST board in a "series" of Boards that carry a cohesive "Story". Please see the other three rough drafts that precede this board in the series on previous pages.

Now that the design clearly describes the concept of a "Digital Billboard Campaign", we can see how easily this design can be updated. Each Board is "Modular", the photo image can be changed out to fit the tone of whatever goes in the "MsgBox", (Message Box), the statement at the bottom can be modified, or changed out to create a new "idee fixee".

NOW is the TIME to assist with creation of Digital Billboard SLOGANS, and IDEE FIXE. You can review the last 3 pages of this thread and see where I have created some other possible "Slogan Campaigns", a new set of slogans can replace the old ones as the complete "IDEE FIXE" maintains the branding of the concept itself, the 4 Boards for Paul kind of thing.

Tea Party '11 - Digital Billboard - v01

Here's a first swing at a Digital Billboard design for teaparty11.com

teaparty11MBv01-25a_prod.jpg

This is not print media. This is not web media ... This is not a PRINT billboard.

This design is for a DIGITAL or ELECTRONIC billboard. You may NOT ... read any of the pages in this thread that precede this Billboard ... don't do it! :D

This is ready, and to spec for either a Lamar digital billboard, or a ClearChannel digital Billboard.

I need some feedback, and I need a fundraiser, ohhhhh revPAC ... where arrrrreeee you?

There are some thing I am unhappy with in this first, rough, draft ... I just wanted to get something up so we could see there is an opportunity to have this Billboard run on a Digital Billboard, at the biggest Mall in Des Moines, before the Money Bomb if we act quickly, and before the Caucus.

By the way, what building, what address is the Caucus being held at?

OOPS! Bumped my tea cup ... tea party banner first draft on display. 2nd draft coming soon.

Tea Party '11 - Digital Billboard - Refined Rough Product - v02

teaparty11MBv02-18_Product_08.jpg

1. The border is a very, very dark green. This unifies the bordering element created by the word "MONEY BOMB" in green, and the outline of the Liberty Tree, which was taken from the 13cent U.S. stamp, a Liberty Tree stamp, (13).

2. The very faint "Ron" on the left, and "Paul" on the right is in white, bordered with a dark red, it unifies the Red Elements on the Board. As they are a tiny bit lighter shade of Red, the pop a bit more.

*The use of WHITE anywhere on a digital Billboard is a very, very special application. White SHINES and is fuzzy on the edges in Digital Billboard creation. So the "Ron" and the "Paul", although very dim, (very transparent), both allows the texture of the scroll to come through the text, and it will, indeed shine, or glow, more than any other element on the Board, (except the interior of the Liberty Tree). So whites must be subdued in order to use their powerful "effects".

There is of course a Border around the "Ron" and the "Paul", the same red as the other text elements, (unification of elements).

As we read the Board left to right, the mind sees a URL, with the hotlink line beneath it and the mouse hand, this causes a physical reaction, we want to click it, and it draws the eye into the middle of the Board, it is visceral, the mouse hand.

The mind picks up the GREEN CURRENCY OUTLINE of MONEYBOMB, it barely needs to even be "read".

As the eye is in the middle of the board, (because of the mouse hand), the "Tea Party '11" logo, BLASTS ...

"Dec" has no period, (abbr. period), this is a brain nag, causes the mind to put that period in there. And the "Tea Party '11" logo, is the same color, so the most powerful element on the board, is unified with the color of the Date. The same is true for "16th".

"Dec" and "16th" are in MINION font, the same as "Ron" and "Paul", so we unifiy our low-key, but warm and glowing "Brand", with the DATE ... not the idea of "Tea Party".

The logo is ... indeed, "smudged", and the Digital Billboard will further smooth the edges, giving it a real and natural appearance on the scroll. There is some transparency applied to "Tea Party '11", to let the grain of the scroll ever so gently peek through.

The Liberty Tree, is going to GLOW, and it's outline, (in green), will be almost washed out, so I've made it a little heavy here. WHY, will it wash out the green outline? Because the white interior is going to GLOW. This is a technical aspect of Digital Billboard design that is very much like a high intensity, backlit screen.

!!! In Digital Billboard design the use of "White" or "Empty Space" is a weakness. There are only 5-10 seconds for the viewer to observe the Board, EVEN IF THEY ARE STOPPED AT A TRAFFIC LIGHT, because the Board only displays for 8-10 seconds, then the next customer's board displays.

The text, must be GIGANTIC ... this is an IRON CLAD rule in Digital Billboard design.

*** The DISCLAIMER for funding, the "Paid For", gets slammed into the edge of the dark green background.

Ron Paul - IOWA DigiBoard Series 01 - Board 01 - v01-03 (Corn Added)

6492967639_eb63cc3d45_b.jpg

Much like teaparty11.com indicates, there are fruits to be had from our efforts. Here, the Iowa corn added, can grow every 3-4 days, it can tassel, and then bear its fruit, ears of corn, with updates to the Digitial Billboard "stream". An updated Board is sent to the account executive at Clear Channel or Lamar. The account executive then uploads the updated/revised board to the stream for the Blitzing Boards ... voila.

This approaches a finished product, just need that "Paid for".

If you are watching this thread and have an interest in producing Digital Billboard designs for the Ron Paul presidential campaign, please begin your research on New Hampshire as it is next in the Caucus/Primary trail.

Continuing Digital Billboard design for Iowa is certainly encouraged at this time, but please begin your research on New Hampshire. Slogan development for New Hampshire will begin soon.

1. Slogan development
2. Image and object development
3. Font selection
4. Board elements - Elements "structure" design
5. Continued research on New Hampshire as it relates to the Ron Paul campaign.
