I swear the first one looks like this famous Australian painting done either during the Second World War, or just after it. It is famous, because the competition was meant to be about portraits, but the winner was accused of doing a caricature. Darn I wish I could remember. I should look it up.
I just looked it up and it is a bit different. My bad. Some similarities though.
You may not get this right away, but I had a mythology final due, and I wanted to link it to Ron Paul somehow. The story is of Perseus saving Andromeda from the sea monster http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Perseus#Marriage_with_Andromeda. In this case, Paul is saving Liberty and the constitution from overgrown government (or an overgrown lizard).
They are in the process of making it happen over at "www.ronpaulpainting.com." I think they will have prints and giclees of the first and second ones, and maybe more in the future.
