Does Life Imitate Art?

At the 1:40 mark, we have the standard grocery store riot, followed by playing the knockout game with the older white manager.

Just a minor example of popular entertainment which encourages bad behavior.

Is life imitating art, or art imitating life? Or just a downward spiral of reinforcing this behavior? Obviously this behavior existed long before this video.
