Please call him back and ask him what the status of the talks are with the Jones camp. Was that poster right? Is it against the rules of the forum where the event is being held to do body advertising? Is Roy Jones Jr. against the idea of doing any political ads? What do his people say?

If one member asking questions about an event that at best has been described wishfully, then it had no chance. So far, the last information received from Heath, during his interview on GSN said that the Jones camp was not happy about Paul's racist accusations and thus the deal was in limbo.

For anyone to give money to a deal that is in limbo seems a little foolish to me as well. I am waiting to find out what the actual deal is going to be before donating any money. I mean, I don't want to find out that I spent a fortune and ended up getting a two inch sign under the armpit of some t-shirt for the 50k.

Call me nuts, but I usually look at what I buy. (Not in that other category of no look shoppers. Money is too precious.)
 
Just got off the phone w/ Heath. Here's the deal. ChipIn temporarily disabled it until he can talk to them tomorrow morning to explain the situation. Here's their email to him:

My bet is someone on these forums complained to ChipIn thinking it's a scam, which it is not. If someone did indeed alert ChipIn, it has wasted valuable time in getting the funds raised. Heath will be calling them in the morning to get it turned back on. He also said there were some people requesting refunds, which he is in the process of honoring.

He said he's real close to getting the contract, in which time we'll post here so everyone can view it.
 
Lol, well, my 10 bucks is in the system. It will be interesting to see how it plays out.

My guess is that the doubters will have ruined it, and will be eating their words.

TY Adam for clearing this up. I'm sure ChipIn will set it back up. I've got no reason to doubt him.
 
I have refunded those who have asked for it. Sorry I was not readily available... I was at a Rudy Rally holding up some RP signs.
 
Heath I think we'll pull this off, will the help of GCN and Alex...I think it'll come to fruition ;)

So what is the deal? Is it true that Madison Square Garden won't allow body advertising? Is it true that RJJ won't support any candidate? I heard your interview, have you been in further contact with RJJ's folks since then? What did they say?

I saw the total about half an hour before it went down. It was at 3k or so.
 
i know since i dont have many posts your not going to take me seriously but your obviously not going to change his mind so is the banter necessary. Its not your money any of us is spending its ours and what we do with it is our buisness. You are entitled to your opinion and you have the right to post them, and if it turns out that this is some huge elaborate scam involving talk show hosts and reputable associations then ill be first to accept you I TOLD YOU SO! Until then hows about we direct all this anxious energy to other endeavors that benifit the campaign rather than create animosity amongst the forum. What do you think?
 
i just said you could say what you want i was just hoping that instead of instigating or continuing (i dont know how it all began) the argument we apply our efforts to more helpful endeavors for the campaign.
